“My new favorite on Beale”

This may be the best gumbo north of New Orleans. Large portion with rich reaux and mouth watering flavor. Friend had a hamburger and loved it. I will try something else when I go back and I will absolutely be back.

“Amazing gumbo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2014 via mobile

Great outdoor seating and atmosphere. Also a fine dining area inside. We sat outside to watch a live blues band and had dinner. Very fast and super friendly service. Had the award winning gumbo and it was amazing. Highly recommend the Cajun Combo. Huge plate full of wonderful Cajun goodness. We also went inside and were 2 of 4 ppl watching a single man playing the guitar. He was such a great musician and took requests. We could have sat there all afternoon listening to him. All in all Kings Palace is a must for Beale Street!!!!

“Delicious Southern Food ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2014 via mobile

We had an amazing lunch here today. Our server, Devon, was extraordinary. She helped us choose our meal, and made excellent suggestions. We had fried green tomatoes, shrimp and crawfish etouffe, the barbeque platter (ribs, pulled pork, voodoo potatoes, cole slaw), and chicken pontabla. Everything was good, and the service was the best of our trip so far.

“Pleasant Surprise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2014 via mobile

The hubby and I was initially headed to the Rum Boogie Cafe based on TA reviews and ran across an outside menu for the Kings Palace Cafe who served gumbo. Upon arrival a man greeted and seated us and Devon, one of the nicest waitresses I have ever met, took our drink orders. Now I come from an era were good customer service is appreciated and appreciate her we did. She was very informative, knowledgeable and helpful with our questions about the menu. The food was surprisingly very good. We both ordered the Cajun Combo, which consists of blackened catfish, shrimp and crawfish ettouffee, and chicken potabalo, which was delicious. Now I admit it was somewhat expensive but good nonetheless. This will definitely be a staple on our visits.

“Brilliant music and great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2014

We enjoyed dinner here one night and enjoyed it so much that we went back on a second night and enjoyed it even more! The catfish and ribs were delicious and the guitarist/singer (Dave) was brilliant, playing and singing live to a very high standard and taking requests when possible. Great atmosphere, great food and good service all at a reasonable price. Should not be missed ..
