“King of Memphis BBQ”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

Corky's is always busy with great reason. It is the King of Memphis BBQ, having won numerous Memphis In May BBQ Challenge crowns over the years. The sides and appetizers are nice, but it is the pulled pork that makes Corky's delicious. Not chopped. Not sliced. This is the real deal. Moist and tender, with sauce on the table to dress up as you please. Cole slaw and beans round out the dinner and both are great. Seven of us ate for about $120, and it was money very well spent!

“Excellent BBQ (from a Northerners' perspective!)”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

Decided to try Corky's while we were down in Memphis for a tournament - had a group of 12 people both kids and adults. While we were told it would be a 45 minute wait (which should have constituted cruel and unusual punishment given we were hungry and the smell of ribs cooking was unbearable), we only waited about 25.

We ate a variety of items and our waiter Will was very good (took all orders by memory, did not get one item wrong). I had a mix of wet and dry ribs, coleslaw, and a side of hushpuppies. Our food arrived very quickly and boy was it good. Ribs were cooked to perfection, the hushpuppies were fried up really nicely, and the coleslaw was crunchy and creamy. Everything was so good, that I got a pecan pie to take back to the hotel for a snack before bed.

The prices were very reasonable (about $15 per person with drinks), and the food was great - Everyone in the restaurant seemed to want us there.

One item to note - the place is really busy! Parking is at a premium and the drive-through seems to run non-stop.

“Memphis native recommended Corky's on Poplar and it was great!”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

Dry-rubbed ribs were so tender and flavorful. I ordered the regular dinner which came with baked beans and cole slaw. The drive-through was super convenient and fast.

“Delicious pulled pork, Love the sauce!”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

Very flavorful and tender! Try the original, which has pulled pork, sauce, and coleslaw on a bun. Delicious and a generous portion! The homemade chips are a better choice than the fries. Parking is very limited. Tony was our waiter and gave great service and recommendations
