We were thrilled to try this spot! Everything we had was yummy, but the BBQ/Catfish plate was the best thing on our table! My hubby & mom didn't get a chance to eat in peace as the rest of us were begging them to share! But, not to worry, the portions were large and they both had plenty of food left over! Service was alright and we rolled out of there and danced it off to the the band that was playing outside on Beale St. Will definitely go back!

The BBQ ribs are tender and tasty. The Ribs and Catfish Combo is a great combo meal. I am in town for a few days and it is mile walk each way - I will be back this week.

Blues City was recommended by several local folks so we tried it and loved it! My husband had the stew. Our son had a salad and fries. I went for the ribs...highly recommend them! The atmosphere is quaint..loved that!! Service was good even though they were very busy. The people next to us had a seafood dip...it looked wonderful! It's right on Beale Street so it's easy to find!

Ribs - there was no slow cooking these babies - it was just throw on the grill for 2 minutes - pour some dry rub on them (to make them look like BBQ ribs) - put some Campbell's pork and beans in a small paper cup - add some cold French Fries and there you got it - the worst BBQ Ribs I have ever had to rip and chew in my life. If anyone thinks that is bbq then they have not tried anything other some similar junk that you find on that same street in Memphis.
