“Give it a go !”

Catch a show and chow down. Enjoy yourself and get involved. Food and drink were relatively cheap (but very filling) and the music was a toe tappers delight.

“Simple and Excellent”
Reviewed December 30, 2011

This one is right at the corner at the end of Beale St. Sauce, if you like sweet as I do, was terrific! Lots of different kinds of BBQ, soups and sandwiches to make everyone happy. Atmosphere and service was entertaining and attentive, respectively.

“Amazing Salad”
Reviewed December 29, 2011

The folks here treat as thought they've known you all your life. That's a real nice touch. My husband LOVED the steak and I want another one of their Salads. Parking is an issue and sometimes there is a wait. IT is worth it.

“Great Tamales!!”
Reviewed December 28, 2011

After reading on another site about how great the tamales were at the Blues City Cafe, we had to try them. After going to the Civil Rights Museum, we went over to Beale Street to the Cafe for lunch. We got there around noon and only a few tables were taken. Our server came over immediately to get our drinks. We ordered the 12 tamales and a bowl of chilli to share. It only took a couple minutes for the food to be brought out. The tamales were great! They were very hot (temperature, not spicy) and we burned our mouths trying to eat them so fast. The chilli was great, not too spicy. Our server kept our teas full. With tip, our bill was a bit over $20.
