“Birthday meal”
Reviewed December 21, 2013

We recently visited for my wife's birthday. We had the Grilled Brochette of Chicken and the Shrimp Lafayette. Everything was perfect, the food tasted great and our server Chace was the best. He made sure we had everything we needed and we never had to wait long for requests. Thanks to the great service and food we may have to visit more often.

“Excellent food”
Reviewed December 14, 2013

Our dinner here was wonderful in every way. Our server was attentive and genial, the food was prepared perfectly and the setting was lovely. Was even able to order a hot blueberry tea, which no one there had ever heard of. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality experience.

“Very Disapointed”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

After reading all of the reviews, we decided to try Paulette's for Thanksgiving. They offerred a $55 per person 3-course prix fixe meal. It sounded nice compared to most of the Thanksgiving buffets. I was a little surprised to receive a call from them the Thursday before Thanksgiving requiring me to provide a credit card to confirm our reservation. However, still excited to go, I gave it to them and confirmed my reservation.

On Thanksgiving, we arrived on time for our reservation, and it took our waiter 15 minutes just to greet us. Our waiter was rather rude, and while they seemed understaffed, which may be the reason for his rudeness, I could not understand this since they should have known how many people were coming and when since we all had to provide a credit card for our reservations. It also took a very long time to receive any food and there were very long breaks in between courses.

The food quality was poor. I had Chilean sea bass with risotto. The risotto was ice cold, as was my mother's dressing with the turkey shavings (was supposed to be a turkey dinner, but it was literally shaved pieces of turkey and hard scraps) she received for $55. Bad. They also ran out of green beans and instead of letting us know, they just substituted asparagus without asking. My mother cannot eat asparagus and when she explained this to the waiter, he replied with, "well, what can you eat?" Rude. Very rude.

In summary, very, very disappointed in this restaurant and would never eat there again. Overpriced, cold food and rude waitstaff.

The staff and management of Paulette's wish to sincerely apologize to the family wha had the unsatisfactory dining experience on Thanksgiving Day. This was devastating news to us, and we are most grateful to this family for letting the problem be known. It was especially disturbing to hear of a rude server, since rudeness has not been something guests have experienced with any member of our present staff. We are very desirious to know the party's name and contact information so that we might discuss further and take the necessary corrective action. Once again, our sincerest apology.

“This may become a tradition”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

We were looking for a nice place to enjoy Sunday breakfast/brunch while visiting Memphis and stumbled onto this place online. It is located on Mud Island and hosts a nice view of the Mississippi River. Its brunch menu was unique and a great value, everything under $20. My husband enjoyed an eggs benedict with smoked salmon. I had a mouth-watering ham & cream cheese crepe plated with a fried apple crepe with rum raisin sauce. Check this place out if you want a quiet lunch or dinner date.
