“Continental cuisine with a Riverside accent of Southern Hospitality”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

This is one our Memphis favorites, a classic continental restaurant that keeps earning its "most romantic" and "best continental" awards each year. Paulette's began over 37 years ago at an Overton Square location, and this reincarnation overlooking the Mighty Mississippi brings back all of the charm and excellence we experienced at the original venue, but even moreso in 2012 at this site perched near the banks of the river. We dine here every time we stay at the River Inn of Harbor Town and are always impressed with the high quality of seafood selections, from fresh grouper to plump scallops to Alaskan salmon served piping hot on a charred cedar plank. The steaks are superb, and the rack of lamb is impressive, always done the way I like it, served with an understated flair that we see in only the finest dining establishments. Desserts are impressive, and delicious. As our delightful waitress Donna told us last night, the homemade sorbets are made "every three hours," and the fresh ripe plums that adorn the crepes are grown on a farm just up Highway 51. My wife and I were completely taken by Donna, who reminded us of Aunt Pitty Pat on Gone With The Wind, an endearing, caring and knowledgeable member of the restaurant staff who will keep us coming back. Consistent with its 2012 Award of Excellence that gives a hint of what to expect, Paulette's wine list offers many of the best selections of domestic pinot noirs and sauvignon blancs, along with theirr French counterparts. This elegant restaurant is one of the gems that you will enjoy whenever your travels take you to Memphis.

By far one of the best experiences in Memphis. Above all else - the service and staff are excellent. They are very welcoming. This is a beautiful restaurant with ample parking and easy to locate. It has moved to the top of our favorite list!!!

“Liked old location better”

First visit to new location was with group of 11. Room was hot and noisy and we were packed in like sardines. Food was good though. It isn't worth the drive downtown for us.
