We did not have a long wait to be seated and the server appeared at our table within a very short time. Being with our grandson who is in college and cooking for himself, we asked for a repeat on salad and bread and it was brought almost immediately. Food was excellent and time spent very enjoyable.

I literally just moved to the area and was very tired and hungry. Everyone who's eaten at an "OG" knows what they serve so salad, breadsticks and something else sounded pretty good. We were greeted and seated promptly. My seat had crumbs on it that I didn't notice but my legs did seeing I was wearing shorts. I then went to use the bathroom and it was decently clean but the stall had no toilet paper. Of course, the other two were occupied so I could either wait or use paper towels. Paper towels won. Our server was super nice, friendly and attentive. I ordered chicken marsala but got angel hair instead of potatoes. I asked for marsala sauce on the pasta and got the entire plate drowning in it. Everything is made, frozen and then poured out from a bag (I know because I used to work at an OG), so the sauce is super salty and a ton of it was a little much. My other half ordered the chicken scampi which was amazing. As we were leaving, there were three people standing at the host station with no other customers in the lobby. We did not get a "thank you" or "have a good night." I rate it three stars because our server was excellent and redeemed the place. I moved from the Northeast where taxes are charged on everything and prices are generally high. This place had higher prices for the food than the North! We were definitely surprised, so I rated the value as poor. It's the south and things should be cheaper...so they claim.

Lunch was quick and tasty. Pretty hard to mess up ravioli. Restaurant was extremely busy and service was fairly quick. Manager was walking around and checking on customers. Greeters were very friendly and polite. The "lunch menu" was a little overpriced so next time I will find a better deal for lunch.

Call Ahead seating works wonders at this always-busy Olive Garden. We had perhaps a 15 minute wait, moving ahead of others who were waiting inside and outside the front door.

After being seated, our family group of four was welcomed warmly by server Tylane. He offered a one-ounce glass of Clos du Bois merlot. - for 25 cents. In hindsight, I should have had our two non-drinkers each order the wine tasting - more for me!

The family-style salad, all-you-can-eat, is unbeatable. Fresh, cold, crisp, with exactly the right ingredients. Seconds were quickly served up by Tylane without even asking.

The four of us tried several menu options. I had an appetizer, calamari-stuffed mushrooms, as my entree. Others had Chicken Alfredo (a family favorite of ours), gnocchi, and the soup-salad combo (minestrone). The Alfredo, in particular, was served Piping Hot.

The service and food prep and quality - especially at this Poplar Avenue - Memphis location - are unbeatable.
