“Wide Variety of Dishes”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

We've tried this twice recently, and found it quite nice. Both times were Sunday Lunch buffets, and they seem to change out some of their dishes so that the buffet is not the same each time. They offer both vegetarian dishes, as well as various chicken selections---I didn't count, but I would estimate they have about ten hot dishes to choose from, along with a variety of sauces and bread (naan). I, personally, really enjoyed the Mushroom Mutter and the Spicy Eggplant. They have a small cold bar with lettuce salad, a fruit salad, and rice (and yogurt?) salad. For dessert, they have Rice Kheer (although I found it to be a bit more 'liquidy' than what I've had other places) and a tasty bread dessert that is very rich---a little goes a long way if you're counting calories!

As another reviewer wrote, it's not fancy. But I go to a restaurant for the food, not to study the decor. The clientele (at least on a Sunday) seems to be a mix between couples, families, and even large family groups that meet there. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys East Indian cuisine.

“Pretty good for an Indian Buffet”
Reviewed January 27, 2013 via mobile

This is my third visit and I can say its good and consistent. Having been to India, I have a point of comparison and must say its pretty authentic. Indian friends has also said it feeds the craving for something from home with the fuss of preparation. The menu is buffet style. My only complaint is you feel like you are in a high school cafeteria. The place is brightly lit....very brightly lit. Don't go if you're looking for a date night and romantic mood lighting....unless you take your sun glasses. You'll enjoy the food though.

“dinner indian buffet”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

Mayuri is in the same general neighborhood as Flavors Indian which is also excellent and very spicey, Buffet selection last friday evening was varied, tasty, interesting and different, and rare evening buffet opportunity for an Indian restaurant.
Large, cafeteria type setting, not fancy but okay. Vegetable offerings are plentiful, interesting lamb curry, good chicken variety as well. Free indian hot chau tea which is also different.
Saw some people going into the near Pizza Hut probably spendng the same ten or so dollars. To me, no comparison.
Glad memphis is getting a variety of Indian opportunities.
