We ate here twice for breakfast during our trip to Memphis. The first thing that hits you about the place is the history. They have been in pretty much the same location since 1919, now that says something about a restaurant. If you don't want to drive and you are staying downtown jump on the Main street trolley and take it South, it practically runs into the Arcade. Several different movies have been shot here so if you are a film fan this place is a must. The wait staff is great, they are diner waitress through and through, so they are not going to wait on you hand and foot but they will tell you what is good and keep your coffee fresh. The food is pure diner with some specials thrown in. You have to get a biscuit they are the best. I would also recommend the french toast and the sweet potato pancakes. But you can't go wrong with just the usual fried eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns or grits. The lunch and dinner options look good too but we are big breakfast/brunch fans so we never got into that part of the menu. If you want the full Memphis experience this place is a must.
