“Comfort Food Done Right”
Reviewed October 30, 2012 via mobile

Everything about this restaurant was very well thought out and perfectly executed. The atmosphere is modern, yet comfortable and the food really speaks for itself. I've eaten here for lunch and dinner; both times there wasn't an empty table in the house. The brick oven pizzas are fantastic and the southern vegetable sides are flavorful. I want to try everything on their menu because I know it will all be outstanding!

“Delicious Pizza”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

Went to check out Hog and Hominy after a friend told us that the restaurant had good reviews in a local write-up. It more than met our expectations. The snack appetizers were great and the red eye pizza was incredible; it has pork belly on top which was just fabulous! They also have a good beer and liquor selection. And the interior was so cute! It would be hard to find something wrong with this place.

“Great Lunch!!!!”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

The ambiance is very comfortable and relaxing you can go in jeans but the food is not average jeans and t-shirt food, it was really good food done well, it was a wonderfully delightful lunch I had the shrimp BLT and greens. The greens are flavorful with bits of hominy corn and bacon, the shrimp BLT was really good. The service staff was infomitive supper helpful and great personality...

“"Southern Country Fiddles- Italian Style"”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

We are "huge fans" of "Andrew - Michael Italian Kitchen" - and - somehow we "missed the memo" that "Hog & Hominy" (directly across the street) was their restaurant too ! What a fun relaxed atmosphere - especially if you are with a group of friends. The wood burning oven is just terrific and you just have to try one of their hand made pizzas. These guys will try new & different dishes and you can come as often as you like (just like their Italian itchen across the street) - without having to worry about ever being bored with the menu. You can tell from the various selections on the menu that these guys are having a lot of fun with their new place. The food is just "out of this world" and this type of "cutting edge" restaurant concept-is what you would think you would run into like in a restaurant trendy marketplace like in Atlanta or Dallas. What a gift to the Memphis restaurant community.

“A wonderful blend of Italian and Southern Style Cooking”
Reviewed August 25, 2012

Had the best collard greens I have ever eaten and I have tried them everywhere in the South. The cream corn was also great with a unique flavor. As for the pizzas, the ingredients were all fresh with the right amount of tomato sauce (very little) and the toppings were most interesting. Our group tried three of the pizzas and all were to die for. The atmosphere was really unusual and inviting. Went to lunch and can not wait to go there for dinner to try some of the appetizers and pizza sources (red eye pizza sounds very good).
