Days Inn Memphis at Graceland
Ranked #44 of 139 Hotels in Memphis
Reviewed July 25, 2012

After a long 11 hour road trip the hotel was a welcome sight. It is so easy to find - there's Graceland on the left and... look, there's the hotel. Just one minute away.

We got a great price when we booked in advance and it was a great room, King size bed, mini fridge/freezer, microwave, safe, ironing board, coffee..etc... everything you need.

Even though we were not all that big Elvis fans we still like him and wanted to get that full Elvis experience on a smaller budget and Days Inn at Graceland is perfection. Elvis constantly playing in the hotel, there's a memorabilia everywhere in the lobby and two TV channels playing Elvis movies all the time. Loved it.

Then there's the pool ! A guitar shaped pool. Perfection.

For me another essential is having wifi access and it will very high speed and always on. Once again perfection. (I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express once and they gave you a code to access, it was slow and was cut off the next day).

The continental breakfast is good. If you are looking for somewhere to eat in the evening there is the Rock & Roll cafe, but they add 15% gratuity even before you eat. Better off with the wings place across the road (drive through) or the KFC and a Checkers just down from the Elvis gift shop/exhibit complex.
The whole area around Elvis Presley Blvd is a bit run down which is a bit sad, but we felt safe.

Overall is was a perfect stay. Tracy at reception was very pleasant and easy to talk to, say hello to her from me if you see her. It is a clean, affordable hotel. Highly recommended. Would stay here again if I ever had the opportunity.

Nice place right opposite Graceland. Breakfast is basic continental style but they don't do evening meals so you have to eat out. Staff are lovely and helpful. There is a pool. I was there in April 2007 and October 2009 and they recognised me the 2nd time. Rooms are comfy, if basic, with large beds and coffee/tea making facilities in rooms and safety deposit box in room too.
Great for Elvis fans as cheaper than Heartbreak Hotel and closer to road and house. You can walk down the road to the Graceland Plaza. There's also an outlet shop where you can buy great Elvis souvenirs at cut prices.

Just returned from a stay at this hotel. The staff, as always at this property, were friendly, accomodating and helpful. The room was clean, as were the pool and lobby areas. The carpet in the room really needs to be cleaned and/or changed but overall the property is clean, friendly and the pool is awesome. I have stayed here about five times over the years and I see the same staff each time.

Stayed at this property last week and really enjoyed our stay. From the time we arrived and stepped out of the car felt like we had arrived in Elvis land. His music was Playing and the lobby was filled with everything to do with Elvis and remember saying wow.
Staff were friendly breakfast was okay and swimming pool was excellent.Rooms were a little dark and dated but overall was close to Graceland many food options close by so would stay here again and recommend to others.

Room Tip: We were on bottom level and close to swimming pool and worked for us

We stayed here to visit Elvis (which was great thank you very much...) but left after one night (I had paid for two) and high tailed it to Nashville. My hubby had to clean the pool (leaves every-where) and it was grimy and I was bitten all over the next morning. (fleas or bed bugs I don't know what..) The beds sank in the middle too. Travelled all around the US and this was our worst stay - after this we headed for Mecure hotels only! lol. Staff however, were very pleasant and should be congratulated for this - they just need to organise better cleaners...

This hotel has slimy floors ( I have found hundreds of other peoples hairs in our room), scratchy little towels, cigarette burned itchy terribly old blankets, and a filthy pool area as well as a over perfumed smell in every room.
Positives: next door to Graceland, Elvis Themed, nice staff, really comfy mattresses and pillows.
Not sure what other options are around here but I would be sure to explore them before coming back.

Basic, clean bedrooms. Reception area totally Elvis, fantastic! Good basic complimentary breakfast. Small guitar shaped pool with sun beds, tables and chairs made for a relaxing chill out time! Location for access to Graceland absolutely perfect!!! Good little motel and would highly recommend it.
