We just had to move rooms because in the first room, my husband found a cockroach so big he said if we had to stay, we might as well name it. Ewww! It's 10 pm, so we will stay the night, but never again. Also, the rooms are minuscule. It took serious maneuvering to get the luggage cart, plus our family in the room. Also, this is my first experience with a 1 person bathroom. Wow!

I apologize that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. It appears from your comments that after you expressed your issue and concern to our manager, our staff moved you to another room. I apologize for the inconvenience and that you felt our bathrooms were not large enough for your family. Thank you for sharing your comments.

Great location, just a short walk to the Beale street bars and restaurants and shops and the Gibson guitar factory is nearby. Very friendly staff.
For those wishing to see Graceland a courtesy bus is on hand.
We also hired a car and made the 1 hour drive down to Clarksdale to visit Crossroads, the highlight of the trip.

Room Tip: Ask for "not near an ice machine", they can be noisy.

Stayed here for three nights in an executive room. Enjoyed it very much...great location to Beale Street, if walking 3-4 blocks isn't a problem for you. It's right across from the Peabody Hotel if you feel the need to see the Peabody ducks while visiting Memphis. We came to Memphis to enjoy the music, eats and drinks on Beale Street, and surrounding area. Room was clean, maid service daily, refrig, microwave and coffee maker. This hotel was perfect for us in every way.

Room Tip: Get an executive room, if you feel you need more space....plus you get a frig and microwave.

We read the negative reviews but wanted to be as close as possible to Beale Street and the Forum. We are not extremely picky but want the hotel to be clean and safe. We found both of these to be the case. Yes, the rooms are a little older but they are remodeling. We were on the 9th floor and did not hear any noise expept for noisy customers who are loud in the early morning or let their kids run wild and bang the walls. That is not the hotels fault.

The staff was very friendly and quickly handled any requests we had. We would stay here again because we could get to the sites downtown quickly.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights, the only down side to our stay is that the rooms are very small and cluttered by US standards , the bathroom was tiny with no room to swing a towel let alone the cat, on the up side the rooms were clean with a good quality TV, breakfast was good with excellent service. would stay again but only for a short stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear of the hotel as the noise from the street is very bad , the Sat night we stayed there we got little or no sleep because the "boys" on their motorbikes would make the bikes "roar" as they drove along the street (not a fault of the hotel)
