We went to this hotel during a baseball tournament. I didnt mind paying higher for a hotel with a (heated)? pool and hottub. I booked the room for 2 nights. The first night we got to the hotel, we were tired after driving for 3 1/2 hours and was looking forward to the hottub to relax. The hottub had scum floating in it,bubbles, and a ring around the hottub like someone had just taken a bath. We all decided to swim instead. The water was cold like a cold bath. We told the front desk. The pool and hottub remained the same our entire stay. 24 hour coffee wasnt 24 hours either. The coffee was cold when we got there. Our arrival time was 6:30 pm. I think it was from breakfast. Positive....rooms were clean and people were nice who worked there. I wouldn't personally go back to that hotel.

I will say that I didn't have the greatest expectations checking into this Fairfield. I expected a moderately priced hotel that was clean, and that was about it. Instead, I found a warm and welcoming hotel with a staff that was exceptional. From the front desk team to the staff that monitored the morning breakfast to the management, we found everyone to be friendly and courteous. The rooms were extremely clean, and the jacuzzi and swimming area was very well kept. The decor was cozy, and made our business stay much more personal than the average hotel. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in the area.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during a softball tournament. We had about 12 rooms in our group and I heard nothing but good things about teh place. Clean and nice indoor pool, breakfast in the morning was okay, nothing to write home about but as advertised, rooms were average to smallish but clean. Wireless internet..fast. Staff was very nice from check in to replacing a bathroom bilb, to allowing our team extra time in the pool, to giving us the breakfast room for dominoes and games.

Very happy with the whole situation and would stay there again. Price was good for 75.00 and beds were made for sleeping.

Stayed at this hotel on a business trip April 3, 2005. The facility is a converted Country Inn and Suites by Carlson. Nothing spectacular here, just good solid comfort and value.

In the case of our suite, the surroundings were clean, well-appointed, and well-maintained. The indoor pool area is clean and inviting. I personally did not get a chance to sample the continental breakfast, but since everthing else was up the the Fairfield Inn version of Marriott standards, I presume breakfast offerings would be as well.

The location here is worth noting. You're 18 miles east of downtown near a major suburban shopping mall. This means the hotel would normally be better suited to business travelers. For leisure travelers, you're a bit of a hike from such tourist attractions as Beale Street and Graceland. Still manageable, but not exactly "handy". Allow 20-30 minutes during non-rush hour times.

However, a huge plus for business and leisure travellers alike is the proximity to a wide variety of shopping venues and the loads of dining options nearby. The entire area is something of a "restaurant row" with everything from fast food places, family restaurants, and upscale dining. Many familiar chain restaurants are represented, and there's pretty much something for every taste and price range.

All in all, this is a good little hotel in a nice area.

We visited Country Inn a few weeks ago. I would rate the room as average. There was a problem with the shower draining properly. Also, there were various noises throughout the night. It seemed like the vents in the bathrooms above and below are noisy when turned on.
However we were able to check in early, which was important to us.
Also, the cookies in the lobby were excellent. They should keep them stocked a bit more frequently. Breakfast was better than average, with many choices of muffins, bagels, and cereals. The room furnishings were relatively new, and the carpet did not seem dirty or old. The full length mirror was great. The room was well stocked with towels, cups, coffee, ect. The experience at Country Inn was an average one, and a good value.
