Gorgeous. Old style class. We stayed across the road and came to see the ducks. The place is just so classic. It's like looking at something Vegas tried to copy but it's the real deal! Had a coffee from the coffee shop and sat in the bar, it was a great coffee, as you'd expect. We spent a long time looking around and going through the history of the place- beautiful.

Really, is there any other place to stay in Memphis. Special birthday weekend was spent here. We arrived on Saturday, knowing our rooms would not be ready; so our bags were held for us - had a quick lunch - went on a city tour - came back - everything ready & comfy. We stayed on the conceirge floor - well worth the extra money - rooms were spacious (all the rooms are different configurations). We were very close to the hang out rooms, which was great - able to grab a cup of coffee, continental breakfast. There were 8 of us traveling together; therefore being able to have the extra hang out rooms was perfect.
Clean, comfortable & very accommodating staff. Pefect two night stay. Anything and everything we needed was handled.

Lobby - very busy @ duck parade time ... especially on a Saturday @ 5PM .... so, get there early - get a seat at the elevator end of the lobby - if you want to see the duck march down the red carpet into the elevator.

Well worth the price! Great birthday weekend.

I accompanied my husband on a business trip and we spent two wonderful nights at the Peabody in Memphis. The service we received from the moment we checked into the hotel was exemplary. Our room was a large, spacious one with two big windows and two queen beds. Everything you could need or want is right at your fingertips. Each night, we arranged for turn-down service and one night, we were treated to an assortment of sweets as part of the service.

The lobby always seemed full, but the bar service was fast and efficient. I found the exercise facilities had everything I needed and there was an inviting indoor pool and hot tub as well as a full service locker room with showers and amenities.

The spa prices were quite reasonable and the services varied. My particular service was on a Sunday morning and I think I may have happened upon a less experienced employee, so do give it a try if you find you have the time.

Dear immlawyer,

Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you had the opportunity to accompany your husband on his recent business trip to The Peabody. It sounds like you were able to enjoy many of our amenities including The Peabody Athletic Club and Gould’s Spa. Wonderful weekend stay at this grande dame of Memphis. The most lively lobby of any hotel I've stayed at. Between the ducks and the wonderful pianists there's rarely a dull moment.

The newly remodeled rooms are lovely, with the exception of a too small bathroom!

For all it's activity, the staff is attentive, warm and helpful at all times.

..and the value can't be beaten.

No Memphis Blues here,,just sunshine and warn enjoyable southern hospitality! The rooms are lovely and very well kept. The hotel staff is very helpful and polite. We loved the duck march and watching the small children enjoy the show. For adults the lobby bar is also a very enjoyable experience. Beal Street is a very short walk from the hotel which offers lots of entertainment.
