Authentic Memphis style, dry rub ribs with or without sauce (optional). We arrived at 5:00pm on a Tuesday and received quick, courteous service. You can sense the time honored tradition of smoking meat when you pull into the parking lot and smell the wood smoked meat coming from inside. The facilities are older, well worn, but clean. We purchased the full and half rack of ribs ($20-full/$10-half). It was plenty o' food for our family of four.
They have an attached dining room that is air conditioned (98 degrees outside, 72 degrees inside) for your eating comfort. There is extra sauce and napkins at the table.
The ribs had a nice, slow cooked crusty layer akin' to jerky on the outside (from the dry rub and time in the smoker) and the juicy meat inside just fell off the bone. We ordered the ribs with sauce applied. The sauce is slightly sweet with a tangy flavor you would expect.
We are fans of "Guy" and had to try this place out. We were not disappointed!
