“The ribs are to DIE FOR!”
Reviewed August 1, 2014

One of my regrets in life would be that I didn't have time to fully enjoy this wonderful restaurant. I could only run in to order a takeaway meal. But what a meal it was! I couldn't decide on what to have so ended up ordering two meals!

The first meal I ordered was the ribs (of course!) - 16 hour smoked ribs with deep fried okra and coleslaw. Then I also got Marlowe's BBQ chips - smoked pulled pork on homemade potato chips, white cheese sauce salad and BBQ sauce.

Elvis never ate this good! Uh-huh, uh-huh!

“Good food with the best wings but very CRAPPY!! somewhat "selecitve" service.”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

Service was crappy, wait staff under staffed on nights where the crowds is mainly African American [Thursday nighta and Sunday nights. Restrooms only have 1 stall and not much bigger than my closet which as an African American male, I view as a direct slap in the face and a personal insult. But the Dj.was great. AND The WOMEN Were Straight Hood BUT Very sexy.

“Great place for Elvis fans!”
Reviewed July 30, 2014

After being dropped off in the pink limo (provided by Marlowe's at no charge, although tips are appreciated), we were met by some of the nicest people around. The restaurant is filled with Elvis memorabilia, and there was an Elvis movie playing. There were also Elvis cutouts for you to get a picture with! Everyone enjoyed their meals, and my husband said that the ribs he ordered were some of the best ribs that he's ever had. The portions were generous, and are served with a smile. We had a great time at Marlowe's!

“Great stop after visiting Graceland!”
Reviewed July 29, 2014

We wanted to get away from the crowds of Graceland (even though we enjoyed it), did a quick search and found Marlowes. Great barbecue and great desserts. Loved the beef briquet, the pecan pie and the apple pie (ala mode, of course!)

“Guy Got It Right!”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

Our group of 5 seniors (2 American, 3 British) recently completed a roadtrip of the Southern States. While in Memphis we decided to try Marlowe's after having seen it recently on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. It is very close to Graceland, and just across the road from Krispy Kreme. We were greeted in the foyer by all kinds of Elvis memorabilia, as well as a signed poster of Guy F. himself. We all ordered the pulled pork plates, and they were superb. The portions were large and the bbq sauce really made them. They have a large, varied menu and offer reasonable prices. Service was very good. We loved the atmosphere here, and would certainly go back. Look for the big pink pig outside!
