This was such and amazing tour to see. The guide was very educated about the subject and was very enthusiastic. We really learned alot about Sun Studio and Sam Phillips and all of the famous artists that recorded here.

My wife and I visited Sun Studios and we were NOT disappointed. We got there early for the first tour of the day. FYI free parking is available at the back of the building via a tiny lane right next to the entrance (right side) or around the block making a right, right and right turn. (Monroe St). Not a lot of wiggle room, but works. There is also room to park on Munroe if you are in something big. The doors opened promptly at 10AM with the first tour at 1030 and on the half hour throughout the day. Well worth the fee to get in. We had a great tour guide, who was bubbley and energetic and a person who definitely knows her stuff. The tour was about an hour long, so if you get there early enjoy the $1 coffee. The tour covers the beginnings of Rock & Roll and you can actually take your picture with same mic that Elvis used on his earliest recording sessions, way back when. Lots of nostalgic photos and items abound. They have even managed to salvage an old radio station studio in its entirety and now forms as a backdrop to a part of the tour.
This was my second visit and I would go back again! Fascinating from start to finish. They've added a couple of extra rooms, including a second floor area with lots of artifacts.
The tour guide was fantastic and very informative, you can tell they have a passion for what they do as the last tour guide I had here was great too.
When visiting Memphis this is a must see! It is where Elvis started out! This is probably about an hour tour very small building but lots of history for the music fans. The guide was very knowledgeable!
Extremely glad we visited and took the $13 tour. Our guide Lana was amazing - so enthusiastic, knowledgeable & funny, throwing out continuous amazing puns during the tour.
Length of tour is perfect to keep information concise and it was great to see a range of nationalities visiting.
Would highly recommend for all ages & budgets as a must do in Memphis.
