Owner description: Sun Studio - The place where an 18 year old Elvis Presley recorded his first song. It’s well-known in the music industry as "The Birthplace of Rock 'N' Roll" and the most famous recording studio in the world. Opened by rock pioneer Sam Phillips in 1950, this national Historic Landmark is where superstar musicians like Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King, Howlin' Wolf, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and countless others started their recording careers. Today, Sun Studio still serves as a recording studio in the evenings while hosting public tours during the daytime hours.

A great time to be at Sun Studio. Elvis Week and it was packed. Arrived at 10 and got on the 10:30 tour. Nina our guide was wonderful and talented as well. Well worth the price of admission

Where else can you walk in the footsteps of America's Great Singers? If you're in Memphis, take a trip to Sun Studio and take a lot of pix. You can stand at Elvis's microphone and sit where The King himself, sat. This is a must-see.

I was born and raised in Memphis, but I had never been to Sun Records. My girlfriend and I were in town to visit Graceland and to see friends and we went. It is an awesome tour. I agree that parking is difficult, but if you go around the block to the backside you should be able to find a place. Marla did our tour and she really is knowledgable of her history of both the Studio and Sam Phillips. She does an outstanding job! There is so much to see and learn in such a small space. It is amazing to stand in that place with the same lights, tiles, and equipment that the very legends of early rock used and stood on in the early days of rock and roll!
