Owner description: Sun Studio - The place where an 18 year old Elvis Presley recorded his first song. It’s well-known in the music industry as "The Birthplace of Rock 'N' Roll" and the most famous recording studio in the world. Opened by rock pioneer Sam Phillips in 1950, this national Historic Landmark is where superstar musicians like Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King, Howlin' Wolf, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and countless others started their recording careers. Today, Sun Studio still serves as a recording studio in the evenings while hosting public tours during the daytime hours.

This is where it happened basically so whats not to enjoy! Its great. Guide is funny and informative. Very small but you feel the vibes. Their free tour to Graceland once you have taken Sun's tour is an excellent service and timely.

This is a very small studio and is not much to look at. But there is a lot of history in the small building and worth visiting when visiting memphis.

Guided tour by an entertaining although not so well informed tour guide. However, all the info was available in brochures and placques. You get to take photo's holding a microphone that may have been used by Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, or Jerry Lee Lewis. Some great stories here and it feels like history.

Loved the tour! It was informative and fun. We saw the beginning of rock & roll and the room where the "Million Dollar Quartet" sang.

The Sun Studio was absolutely AWESOME!!! If you have any appreciation for music what so ever, then this is the tour for you!

It's not a very long tour, maybe 40 minutes and you only get to see two rooms-but that's all there is to Sun Studio. To be at the very birthplace of rock and roll is truly emotional. Our tour guide was phenomenal with great energy and a wealth of knowledge of everything Sun!

If you have young children they probably won't enjoy it as much as you, but it's a short tour!

Seriously, take this tour you won't regret it!
