Owner description: Sun Studio - The place where an 18 year old Elvis Presley recorded his first song. It’s well-known in the music industry as "The Birthplace of Rock 'N' Roll" and the most famous recording studio in the world. Opened by rock pioneer Sam Phillips in 1950, this national Historic Landmark is where superstar musicians like Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King, Howlin' Wolf, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and countless others started their recording careers. Today, Sun Studio still serves as a recording studio in the evenings while hosting public tours during the daytime hours.

Sun Studios is well curated and has excellent staff! We were really impressed by our tour, and the guide. We loved that we could actually play around with Elvis` microphone! Very fun and interesting.

I like the historic feel of the entire place. The tour guide was very knowledgable. There were a lot of photographs and artifacts of Elvis. The tour was well organized. I appreciated the complimentary booklet we received at the end of the tour.

This was the highlight of my two week tour of America. Its a small museum but the tour guide - Jake- was excellent and if you love the music and musicians that have recorded here, you will love the tour. It really is the birthplace of rock n roll and perhaps most famous for the Million Dollar Quartet recording (Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins).

Found it very interesting, it is not just Elvis it is about all the artists who recorded there. I went and was only really interesting in listening about Elvis but I must say it is very interesting

I was beyond amazed at the whole experience especially being able to hold the microphone once held by Elvis.
