“A must place to visit!”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

We went here on a Wednesday night around 6:00 pm and joined in the Happy Hour with a beverage and some apps. A live band came on stage at 7;30 and they were very engaging with the audiance. Our 7 year old son was up dancing and shaking his moves around. Some other children joined him.

We decided to stay for dinner and had some chicken and ribs combo. IT WAS SO GOOD! The house BB Sauce was sooooooo tasty. I don't like beans and I subsituted it for yummy garlic mashed potatoes.

It is an affortable meal and there is a wide variety of items to please any fussy eater. They have a store attached and sell the yummy bb sauce.

I would highly recommend this place.

“Decent food, cool bar”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

This is not terribly authentic. It's a tourist type spot on Beale St. That said, the food was very good, although a bit expensive. The local band was okay (at 5pm on a Sunday evening).

We had great ribs, an average salad, and homemade loaded potato chips as an appetizer that were regrettable. Get a different appetizer.

“A real BLUES experience!”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Loved the atmosphere, The Blake Ryan band played some phenomenal rhythm blues with original songs and crowd favorites. I could not sit still in my chair! Definitely made the experience worth while. We did not eat during our visit so had to pay a cover charge of 3 dollars each...something I was not expecting, the servers were ok, one friendly, one female not so much unless you were a guy. All in all it was a great place to visit to experience real music of Memphis blues.

“A Happening Place!”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Even during the lunch hour when we visited, there was music from a live band and an overall energetic vibe in the restaurant. The food was very good with ample portions and our server was new but friendly and attentive. Take time to view all the blues memorabilia on the walls as well. There was even a bachelorette party going on that day who had been shopping on Beale St.

I really enjoyed this place. We were there around 6 on a Friday evening, the place was alive with music. We got seated right away, had beers and appetizers and enjoyed the music, Memphis Joe was excellent!
