I have just been to Memphis for the first time and visited Graceland twice on the platinum tour which at $35 each is really good value for money, also did the free walk up times to the meditation garden every morning which was a fantastic experience. We had pre booked tickets for the first tour, as you queue for the shuttle bus to take you across the road to Graceland they take your photo against a back drop of the famous Graceland musical gates, you dont have to buy them but we did as $25 for 1 large picture and 4 small ones isnt too expensive and they were good. Just before you get on the shuttle they give you the audio headset which is pretty informative, next thing your being driven through those famous gates, at this point I found it very hard to hold back the tears, its such a strange feeling knowing that Elvis has driven up that same drive a thousand times, this feeling intensifies as you enter the house, the house that you've seen on tv or in pictures a million times but now you're actually standing in it and it's not just a property he owned, it really was his home, awesome feeling. The tour was great, you can go at your own pace no one rushes you, staff are very nice. There is so much to see, I loved it all, but the collection of jumpsuits were fantastic, I could just see Elvis when I was looking at them. At the end of the tour you head to the medition garden where Elvis and members of his family are buried, I cant describe that feeling, standing by his grave was really emotional and I am affraid the tears couldnt be held back any longer. When you get back to Graceland Plaza there are more exhibitions to see that are included in your ticket price, the automobile collection, Private Presley, sincerely elvis, the airplanes etc all of which are very good. We enjoyed it so much we bought tickets again a couple of days later. If your not an Elvis fan I believe you would still enjoy Graceland and find the tour interesting, If you are an Elvis fan you must go to Graceland it will be one of, if not THE best experience of your life.

Easy to find giving a good leisurely day out. The staff are friendly and helpful and the place is clean and tidy. September is not too busy and therefore not too much queuing. Cameras are allowed but flashes are not allowed in the house itself and you are not allowed to take in video cameras. There are lockers which can be used.

Spent over three hours at the various attractions. I'm not the biggest Elvis fan but the the tour and all of the memorabilia were very interesting. No flash picture taking allowed in the home, but all pics turned out fine. Use your AAA card for a good discount.
