It was alot if fun see how Elvis lived and some of his memorabilia. I do not suggest taking small kids , alot of things with do not touch , alot of walking , group tours and memphis is very hot in the summer . In my opinion it was very pricey , but you do have different packages you can get . If you like the house across the street they have the Lisa Marie airplane to tour snd s small musuem . If you love Elvis its a good stop !

I wasnt going to pay $33 a person for the five of us to tour. We did look over the lower part of the wall and could see a little bit of the house. We went around 6pm and was able to stand in front of gates to take pics

I was 10 when Elvis died, so although not from my era, the music and legend lives on. Something you need to do once in your lifetime. Not cheap at a minimum of $33, you do get a lot of access. It's crowded and there are many shuttle transfers/queques to go through, it's a well-oiled machine and not too much waiting. The cool thing is that nothing has changed since he died. The furnishings from the Jungle Room to the banged up pool table and box TVs make you feel like Elvis could be sitting at his piano while you're listening in. You all put on headphones and listen to an audio tour which is nice b/c you can take all the time you want looking at various rooms and play it at your own speed. I was astounded looking at Lisa Marie's swing set in the yard. I had one just like that! Then you get to see all the records & costumes, (including Army uniform, Priscilla's wedding gown, Vegas jumpsuit) Really soooo much to look at. Near the end of tour, you walk right by the graves of Elvis, his parents, and grandma. It's kind of creepy, but like I said, you get it all. The only area that is off limits is the upstairs, which is likely b/c that's where he died. Oh, and you get your fill of Elvis music/video from the bus, tour, and waiting areas.

If you don't want to pay the $33 to see the mansion but would like to see the garden and his tomb, everyday from 7:30am to 8:00am they open the gates for free so you can see the front of the house and the garden with his grave...

Definitely use your headset while taking the tour. It gave some great history on the Presley family/legacy! It was great to see all of the history, as well. We also got saw the car exhibit, the airplane, umm and the other exhibits. I would say that stuff was interesting, but the house is where it's at! They didn't not have a shortage of gift shops, either! Which was great, my cousin and I were really able to splurge! Graceland is a must-see!
