I am not a big Elvis fan, but enjoyed the musuem. I know it gave me a better understanding and appreciation of his music. He is everywhere there. The mansion wasn't as gaudy as I'd hear. The staff was friendly and it was well organized to move massive amounts of people through there, so there wasn't any long lines. I did not like all the gift shops. It made it all feel cheap.

A very good tour. It was wonderful to see graceland preserved in excellent condition. Even the kids, who've only heard a few Elvis songs, found the tour very interesting.
The audio head set used for the tour was simple enough for us, but a couple of our older and more technologically-challenged group members had a few difficulties.

We've decided to visit Graceland after visiting Stax Museum and learning about the history of Soul music. I'm so glad we did that.
We were there during a relatively slow season so no need to spend big bucks on VIP tours. They give you a listening device and you can move about the mension at your own place.

Be prepared, the place is huge and there's so much to see and learn. You will need at least 2 hrs, more if you explore exhibits other than the mension itself.

Make sure you check out the cars and the planes. Definitely worth it.

A true American landmark that in the end tells a very sad story. Elvis was a poor Memphis boy- lived in public housing. He was in the right place at the right time. He was generous to a fault and he loved his Mama.
