We stayed here one night. The location is really good, especially for the price of the room. We had river-view rooms. The trolley stop is less than a block away and easy to get to, and the parking is very convenient.
The bathroom was quite small but like I said, it was comfortable.

Let me start by saying that this was by far the best hotel staff we have ever had the pleasure of staying with. From the time I called to revise a reservation to our departure from the property everyone was great!!! Our rooms were spacious and clean and the hotel itself was a great location to see the fireworks from Mud Island. We had a few small issues (hair dryer was going out) it was resolved within mere minutes. Cord was missing for a DVD player in one of our rooms - it was quickly replaced so we could enjoy the DVD player in the executive suite. Our breakfasts were tasty and well stocked. We were greeted with warm caring staff and ice cold refreshing water, cookies and muffins. They kept the water clean and fresh and ice cold which was wonderful for this hot weather. We are looking forward to our next trip. This is a family-friendly hotel that has great ammenities and within walking distance to trolley and plenty of fun options. All In all great way to celebrate our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. Special Thanks to Chris, Earlene, Sha, Evelyn and Rosie. It truly felt like we were among family!!!

Room Tip: This hotel offers free warm breakfast items everyday. Plus refreshments when you enter in the lobby...

We were very pleased with this Comfort Inn. Located right near the trolley we found it just perfect to sight-see. Breakfast was good and service at the desk etc.went "beyond the call". We had a smashed windshield when we arrived due to a bird flying into it. They looked up, contacted a repair shop and it was all set-up and completed the next morning.

Room Tip: Book early as this is a very busy hotel!

My wife and I have just returned from a 3 week touring vacation of southern states in the U.S. 5 nights of which we spent at the Comfort Inn Downtown, Memphis.

We had done a fair amount of research as to where to stay in Memphis, somewhere peaceful and quiet, but still close enough to the usual touristy things of Memphis, Beale Street and the trolley cars of Memphis.

Arrival:

Upon arrival at the hotel, we found a light, airy, and reasonably sized lobby, an efficient young lady on desk duty greeted us, very efficient, she had us quickly checked in, we were in our room in no time.

The Room:

Good - The room was of a decent size, most importantly, clean. the bed was quite comfortable, no complaints in this regard. Room was equipped with an efficient air conditioner and unlike some we had experienced during our travels in the U.S. it was reasonably quiet. The view from the window was quite uninspiring, overlooked multi story buildings. Usual tea/coffee making machine was supplied as was a microwave oven and fridge.
Attached en suite was quite reasonable, spacious, also clean and equipped with the usual array of toiletries.

Food & Drink

No cocktail bar attached to this hotel, makes do with vending machines only for the usual soft drinks, Coke etc. Breakfast was of a reasonable standard, usual American breakfast fare on offer, scrambled eggs, bacon and again, the usual Waffles. Breakfast room was quite good, a little cramped at times but overall it was good, staff were on hand at all times replenishing breakfast items. Staff in this area were very good, one lady in particular, sorry, didn't get her name, probably in her 60's, was particularly helpful, always had a cheerful disposition about her.

Conclusion

Good hotel, would I stay here again, absolutely. Hotel is a five minute walk to the trolley cars, cost, $1 will take you on a loop around Memphis and on down to Beale Street.

Not a very modern trendy hotel but the staff, location and price make this a very good choice.
Parking is easy. The check in was effortless. Our room was large with extras like microwave etc.
Breakfasts were good. OK plastic cutlery but the choice made up for this and the attentiveness of the staff. Also a nice touch was the ice cold water, tea, coffee and cookies in reception when we returned in the afternoon.
Close enough to Beale Street and as others have said the trolley..
Yes we were happy with this stay.
