We spent two nights in Memphis during May and had a very enjoyable stay at the Staybridge Suites. My son, husband, and I had plenty of room in the suite, which had a separate bedroom and nice living room/kitchenette area. The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the hotel is located in a very quiet area. We would definitely stay there again.

I'm glad you enjoyed your time with us last month, and were able to enjoy some of our city's Memphis in May festivities. That is always a fun time to come. Thank you for writing such a nice review of your stay. I hope you won't be a stranger to Memphis and will come back to see us often. Best regards, Bob Cox, General Manager

We stayed here for two nights after landing in Memphis from a cruise on the Mississippi. We arrived early (10am) and were prepared to have to wait until check in time; but we were welcomed, given our room and even offered breakfast. The receptionist was very helpful and gave us advice about downtown parking, cookies and water to see us on our way for a day sightseeing in Memphis. The only downsides were that the bedroom had no window (although the darkness contributed to a good night's sleep) and the weekend was a holiday and there was a girls' sports team staying in the hotel. The sound insulation wasn't good enough to keep excited adolescent girls' voices out! However, once they were gone and peace was restored it was very comfortable. The room itself was well equipped, clean and comfortable. There were also very acceptable restaurants within walking distance.

Thank you for all the nice comments. It is always such a pleasure to have our UK friends stay with us. I'm sorry you had to endure the sports team on what should have been a relaxing stay. Unfortunately, kid's excitement is sometimes hard to harness. When you find your way back to the US, I certainly hope you will remember us and come visit us again. We usually stay downtown, but with some appointments nearby we decided to find a spot further east. Check-in was very easy and the staff very helpful. Room was as we requested down a quiet hallway away from the elevators, and we were even upgraded to a king suite from a regular king room. We had to park way around back in a lot shared with a restaurant, which did not look or feel secure late at night. The free breakfast was nothing special, much like a Hampton or such with cereal and a couple of hot items. The hallways smelled musty/smoky, even though we were in a non-smoking wing. Not bad for the price and there aren't a lot of good options in that area of town.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor as traffic and noise from the restaurant in back can go on into the wee hours...

Thank you for staying with us on your recent visit. I sincerely regret that you found our hotel less than exceptional. Try as we may, it is an impossible task to keep some guests from smoking in their rooms even though we are 100% smoke free and make every possible effort to inform people of that. Being in one of the most upscale areas of Memphis, I can assure you we are more safe than many other hotels in the city. Parking certainly is a premium since we are located within one of Memphis's premiere business parks. I do appreciate your comments and we will continue to make all possible attempts to curb the smokers who inconsiderately smoke in a non-smoking hotel. I do hope you will come back to try us again. I stay for weeks at a time for work and the staff has become extended family, they will go out of their way to make you comfortable or assist in any way they can. Damon at the font desk goes above and beyond and truly loves his job. The rooms are clean and comfortable and they provide wonderful amenities. I would recommend this hotel to anyone whether traveling for business or pleasure

We have been traveling around for the last two weeks and these Suites are the way to go. This one was large, 2 queen beds, a large living room with kitchenette, large refrigerator, microwave, etc. My only complaint would be that the window in the living room leaked. The morning we were to leave was a big storm and the water came poring in. I notified the staff when checking out. It may have been as this seems to be a little older property. I would stay here again, no doubt.
