We only spent two hours in the zoo as we mainly went to see the pandas. We took in several exhibits during our visit and thought the zoo was very nice. We appreciated the big shade trees. I recommend taking insect repellent as there were mosquitos.

It is a little pricey compared to other cities, but there are great animal exhibits! I love the polar bear exhibit. There is a small farm animals exhibit with a train ride, etc. for kids.

My family loved the zoo. The tram was great, pay once & get a stamp to ride as much as you want so if you get tired, just relax on the tram- it's like getting a guided tour :) Our daughters loved the water play area as well as the playground. The Stingray Bay was worth the few extra dollars too. The only negative thing I could say about this zoo was that it seemed like there was a fee for everything on top of how expensive it was to get in- other than that, it was a great day!

We have seen many zoos, this was by far the worst. Very expensive, $70 for family of five with parking. Lots of unnecessary walking, poor signage, bad animal exhibits. Also, if from out of state, don't go on Tuesdays which are free for residents of TN!

We aware this zoo lets you bring in outside food and drink. Coolers are allowed and picnic areas provided throughout. Also many opportunities for the kids to get wet so bring swim suit and/or change of clothes. The feedings and shows are a lot of fun to see, I would add them to your day. Make sure you allow plenty of time as this is a full day adventure not a quick visit. Also we purchased our family photos and they were reasonably priced and cute. Worth checking out.
