“Great Food But Expensive”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

Ate here whilst walking the Great Glen Way. The food we had was really tasty and lots of fresh and local ingredients used. They had a good selection of food. The portions were a little bit small when the prices were so high.

We had time to stay at the Invergarry Hotel for only one night, but so wished that we could have stayed for much longer. It was a great find in a lovely location en route to the Kyle and Skye. The Master bedroom that we had was beautifully furnished and a good size. The residents' sitting rooms were very comfortable with a friendly atmosphere and the food in the restaurant was superb. Owner Sarah was very helpful and made us feel quite at home. We'll make it a regular and longer stop over on our future visits to the Highlands.

We stopped at Invergarry Hotel on our "round Scotalnd" tour with our two grandchildren. We had requested a family room, and what we got was perfect... a large double room with an annexe for the girls. The room(s) were extremely comfortable, extremely well furnished, extremely clean and would have fitted well inro any 5 star hotel in the world.

Evening dinner was in the Brasserie and the food (and wine) was delicious. Breakfast the next morning was just adjacent to the Brasserie and everything was cooked fresh to order. Obviously, their chefs are hand-picked!

Great staff, a lovely warm welcome and lingering memories that ensure that, one day, we'll be back!!

For the hiker, biker or simple tourist this is a great Inn at which to stop and recharge your batteries. Comfortable accommodation, fantasic food in the Brasserie (not forgetting the wonderful array of malt whiskies), friendly/helpful staff and drying/boot room to deal with the consequences of the occasional rain shower that can occur in this part of the UK.

We opted for a superior room, large, comfortable and spacious with views across the river towards Ben Tee. A free bar in the bedroom (No not that sort of bar - this is Scotland) for connecting the multitude of electronic devices we all carry, be it phone, camera, GPS and/or laptop. Certainly plenty of space to relax if not tempted by the comfortable sofas in residents lounges downstairs.

Room Tip: The superior room seemed to be worth the extra. Road noise (despite being at the front) was minimal...

The Invergarry is a delightful country inn with a warm welcome and friendly and helpful staff. Our room was most comfortable and attractively furnished. The Brasserie has a good menu and the chef is excellent.

We were just passing and realised it was lunch time. We'd never been in the area before and couldn't be bothered to look around to see what else was available locally so we took a chance. It was well worth it. Really good quality food - and the childrens' food was excellent - actually real food! The staff were friendly, professional and good natured. The hotel itself looked really nice - would definitely give it a try if I'm in the area again.

I dropped in to the Invergarry hotel without pre-booking, late on a mid-week night (just after 10pm) Fiona was working the reception and the bar, and was very helpful. The room was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the Scottish breakfast in the morning was excellent. I shall be returning to this remote, but welcoming hotel.
