“Location is Awesone!”

All in all excellent. Rooms need a bit of updating furniture. Staff at the reception exceptionally helpful. Staff in restaurant outstanding, although not completely professional, they go out of their way, food excellent.
The location is really romantic, beautifully set on the Loch with views downhill which are breathtaking! The mist early morning on the Loch brings you back to the old days!
Loved it! We had a huge room overlooking the Loch and the garden. Definitely recommend it.

Room Tip: Deluxe Rooms over look the Loch, very quiet and beautiful views.

We stayed at the Glengarry Castle Hotel mid May 2014. Really enjoyed our stay. The building was quaint and the exterior looked like something out of a movie. The staff was friendly and helpful. We upgraded to a mid-level room and it was wonderful: Large, Clean and well appointed. The grounds were great for a stole (except for a few bugs by the water, not much anyone can do about that.) Meals were good and we really enjoyed having after dinner coffee/hot-chocolate in one of the sitting rooms.

The Glengarry Castle Hotel is located in the beautiful little village of Invergarry, in the Scottish Highlands. It consists of an old (but very well kept) grand country house, overlooking a loch, and with its own small forest. It has even got a small castle tower - although this is closed to the public, as it is in ruins.
The staff was very helpful at all times. The room itself was very nice, large enough and comfortable.
The location is also very convenient if you want to visit Inverness or the Isle of Skye - just be prepared to drive.
The only less impressive point was the food. Breakfast was OK, but for dinner you could only select a 4-course meal - too much! A little more choice would have been very welcome, and would have assured a perfect score.

A stay at the Glengarry Castle Hotel is a wonderful experience. The setting is beautiful, right on a Loch. The Hotel itself is a little dated, not accessible but in the grand style of country living. The rooms are large and airy. The views are lovely. Our room looked out to the fields with sheep grazing. The food was excellent and the service was perfect and very friendly. Afternoon tea in the lounge was so enjoyable and the library was a great place for the family to gather in the evening for a good game of scrabble. We would be delighted to visit again.

We spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed the slightly old fashioned hospitality. The staff were great - how nice not to have the slick chain hotel comments, but genuine interest! They were also very welcoming to our dog, who was fed the odd tit bit and felt totally relaxed (as far as we could tell).

Food was good, our room was lovely and the location and views are hard to beat. Not cheap, but worth it.

Room Tip: Loch views are great

My favorite of the four hotels we stayed at during our visit to Scotland. Stayed for two nights and wish it had been longer. This is a lovely country inn in a lush, peaceful setting. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. We loved the food--fresh, well prepared, elegantly served. Comfy common rooms with books and games and exquisite views. Even though we visited in August, the only time we encountered those infamous midges was right by the water, though they didn't bother us on our river walk. Do take the time to explore the grounds. They are beautiful. Only suggestion would be to bring your own pillow, unless you like them very, very firm!

Room Tip: Make sure you specify "ensuite" if you want a bathroom in your room.

Only stayed for one night but it was very enjoyable, very friendly helpful staff, clean comfy rooms, food excellent especially the breakfast. Had a couple of nice walks in the grounds, managed to avoid the midgies and the rain during our stay.
