“Perfect in every way!”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

We visited on the May bank holiday weekend and this campsite was simply perfect. The welcome from the owners was tremendous, they secured the plot we wanted (with instruction on their system of " do not move"), the wee shop was lovely and also served as a bit of a 'hang out' to chat to others. As the sign said at the door - the coffee was to die for! We took some bikes with us and went and had a look at other camp sites nearby (we had a motorhome). There was nothing around Arisaig which matched Camusdarach to be honest. If you want a warm welcome, well run site, coffee and lovely rolls, gorgeous beaches, friendly owners and lovely walks around the site then this place is for you. Thanks for such a wonderful stay....

This is our family's favourite campsite. We stayed for 3 nights over the Easter weekend, had a couple of nights on Skye, then decided to return for a further 3 nights. The location is beautiful, quiet and safe. The site itself is sheltered by woodland, and is only a couple of minutes walk from the most amazing beaches, and the view of the islands - especially at sunset - is just stunning. Val and Johnny are very welcoming. They don't just 'run the campsite', it is clearly something that they love doing, and they are committed to ensuring that their customers have a wonderful time. They went out of their way to help us, definitely above and beyond the call of duty! The facilities are clean, and the new reception/shop is excellent. Looking forward to our next visit.

Stayed here for a couple of days during Easter hols . Lovely site , quiet & safe , kids were able to run about freely !! Beaches are amazing !!! Free wifi was an added bonus. Run by lovely people who go out of their way to help you . Had we not already booked other sites as we were touring Scotland , we would have stayed here for the rest of the week !!!

We visited this campsite in March and had an amazing 2 nights stay. The beaches and sunsets are amazing. The hosts are the friendliest people you could wish to meet. The toilets are very clean , fresh coffee and bacon rolls can be bought for breakfast.

We stayed at Cambusdarach for 2 nights as the first leg of our first camper van tour. Cambusdarach is an amazing spot only 2 minutes from stunning beaches. The mood around the site is very relaxed.
The people who run Cambusdarach (Val and her mum Judy) couldn't have been more helpful. Their willingness to help and make our stay as pleasant as possible was truly unbelievable. Nothing was too much trouble. We left our power cable behind when we moved on which wasn't great especially as we had hired the van .Judy volunteered to drive our cable to our last campsite (Roybridge) to drop it off. This is probably a 3 hour round trip so was totally beyond anything we would have expected.
All in all we would highly recommend visiting this area and this site. We will be back without a doubt.

I stayed just one night in this wonderful place on 17th March 2014 just as the campsite reopened. I only rang a few hours before to ask if I could stay - no problem at all was the immediate answer.

On arrival in the gloom I stupidly managed to get my motorhome stuck in the field. It was TOTALLY my fault - the field was in exceptionally good order especially considering how wet the weather had been over the winter. Travelling on my own I had no choice but to go and ask for help. The owners were absolutely wonderful in getting me sorted out - even though it took over an hour and they had not had their dinner. Nothing was too much trouble and they refused to take any extra payment even though I had been such a nuisance.

I know this area reasonably well. It is totally stunning and I would not hesitate to highly recommend this site particularly to families - it is such a safe location.

Arrived last week (16/03/2014) to a warm welcome by Val and Jonny and their wonderful family.

The campsite was immaculate...we were the first visitors of 2014!

Toilets very clean and unusually shaped with steaming hot showers.

Bike chain broke, and Val and Johnny went hunting for a replacement at no extra cost.

What can I say except, thank you and we will be back again later in the year with the motorhome.

Magical!
