“Fantastically clean and comfortable cottage”

Our experience of Glenturk was excellent from booking to leaving. The owner was very friendly and easy to deal with. Lovely to be welcomed with fresh flowers, a bottle of wine and shortbread. The cottage was very well appointed and very clean throughout. Beautiful views too. The location was great with lots to see and do in the surrounding area. No complaints at all. We were blessed wi beautiful weather also.

“Lovely cottage with great views”
Reviewed August 26, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed here in August with my 3 children ages 17, 13, 10 plus my elderly father who is 85. Lovely cottage with amazing views. Plenty of space for us all and great to have 3 bathrooms. It is a working cattle farm, kids enjoyed wandering around seeing the cattle and the Bulls. They managed to spot some frogs and rabbits as well. Great location and close to many attractions, plus the scenery is amazing. We have been lucky with the weather so far, nice to wake up and sit out on the patio with a cuppa!! It is near to the main road but it isn't that busy so not too much of a distraction. The owners are lovely, very friendly and helpful. Left us a bottle of wine and flowers to welcome us which was a nice touch. Having a washing machine was great with such a large family. Would definitely consider staying here again.

“Really relaxing week”
Reviewed August 2, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Brilliant, clean and wonderfully kept holiday cottage in tons of space with very understanding neighbours of our very nosy dog! Alfie decided to make the place his own as it's a shared garden, thankfully, no one minded! He did have too far a wonder one day and got picked up by a very kind local man... almost a disaster! The cottage is brill though. Really great for the kids who had a ball. The only downside (and it really is a teeny tiny point) is the size of the fridge. For a cottage that sleeps 6 (we were 4) you'd be shopping every other day which is a bit of a downer. Everything else was absolutely spot on and we'd love to go again.

“Great holiday”
Reviewed August 2, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We spent a week at this property at the end of July. The weather wasn't the best but we only had some showers. All in all we had a great holiday and the property is clean, well equiped and very spacious. It's perfectly located and there's even a folder prepared for you with all the accessible attactions, if you didn't do your homework (guilty).
The view on each side is fantastic and it's quiet and peacefull at all times.
Thank you

“Great Galloway base”

Enjoyed a great stay in this well equipped and attractive cottage. It's easily accessible from Central Scotland and the North of England. A car is essential. It's a mile from Scotland's Book Town with a huge range of book shops , selection of cafe's and small shops. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and ideal for cycling on quiet roads , hill walking , golf and fishing. There are a variety of interesting villages within a short drive. Happy to recommend to couples and families of all ages for annual holidays and short breaks.
