Back to Brora Lodge for the third time this year - still fascinating with the fantastic breakfast backdrop of the RSPB reserve and deer meandering through the fields between the Lodge garden fence and the reserve, of which there's an unobstructed view. Pete's breakfast, Helen's excellent table service, superb views of wildlife, and comfortable rooms. What more could you ask? Nothing, really, so we'll be back next year for sure.

Room Tip: All the rooms are towards the front, so nothing between them. But make sure you get in for breakfast...

We recently stayed here as a home base for 8 days of golfing.
Our hosts could not have been more helpful and friendly - assisting with directions / pub recommendations / reservations .
A very clean and well maintained home with the best B & B breakfast we have ever had ( and this was our 13th year of golf in Ireland or Scotland ).
The golf in this area is spetacular and not expensive - Peter can assist with his knowledge of the local courses.
Highly recommended.

Hi Steve, thanks very much once again, and we must repeat that we were highly honoured that even though you never go back to a place you've been to before, you did come back to us for a second visit. To us that speaks volumes about what we offer here and the area we live in, not to mention the great golf courses around about us.
Good luck for the future and we hope you have many more successful golfing trips in bonnie Scotland.

My partner and I stayed here for two nights whilst we were house hunting in the area and were very impressed. Helen and Peter are fabulous hosts who welcome you into their lovely home with warmth and friendliness.
The B&B is modern, bright and exceptionally clean. We have stayed in many 5* Hotels and I have to say Brora lodge is up there with the best of them for this.
Our room was very comfortable with a powerful shower and again very clean.
Breakfast is superb with plentiful choice. We both opted for the full Breakfast which was delicious and cooked to perfection.
The service from both Helen and Peter was brilliant. They could not do enough for us and their passion for pleasing guests is clearly evident.
Overall I would highly recommend Brora Lodge. Being honest, I was not looking forward to staying in a B&B but I have to say I was really quite impressed with this and will definitely return in the future. Superb.

We just don't know what to say, what a review, words almost fail us. Really, it was an honour to have you stay with us, we tried our usual best to ensure you all had a great experience whilst here, and my goodness, it seems we succeeded beyond the normal call of duty. We are blown away by your kind words, so thank you very much indeed. We would like to wish you the very best of luck in the future, and great success with your projects here. Hopefully we will meet again soon. Kindest regards Helen and Peter.

This is a great place to stay while visiting Wigtown or the surrounding area. It is a short walk into town. Helen and Peter were wonderful hosts and very helpful in making recommendations for places to eat and where to go. Our room was very clean, breakfast was delicious. I would definitely come back.

This is a wonderful base travelling around SW Scotland, Helen & Peter are brilliant hosts, the rooms are spotless and very comfortable they gave us lots of tips on places to visit, and the breakfasts well what can I say delicious !!!!!, and the view from the conservatory as your having breakfast is breathtaking
We stayed for 5 nights were made to feel very welcome, the guest lounge had satellite tv so my husband was pleased as he could watch the football,
Tea,coffee, biscuits are all provided in the bedrooms and hair dryer on request, I would thoroughly recommend this B&B.

Thank you very much, so good to hear you had a good time with us for your holiday here in the Galloway area. It was a pleasure to help you and have you here, and we look forward to you coming back to stay again one day soon. In the meantime keep well but we hope the Magpies don't fly as high as the Throstles!

my wife and I arrived with our bicycles on a chilly and windy afternoon. The warm welcome by Helen and Peter with home-made cake and coffee in the veranda was great. We enjoyed the garden and the great view. Our bicycles were stored in the garage. The room was very clean and full of light. Helen drove us for the evening meal to the restaurant next to the Bladnoch Distillery ( which we visted the morning after). Breakfast was "absolutely fabulous".

This visit in July was our third to Brora Lodge and we were not disappointed. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. We stayed for three nights with friends and each day the rooms were restored to pristine condtion.
The breakfasts catered for all tastes from cereals, toast and coffee to a full campaign breakfast all enjoyed whilst admiring the view over the nature reserve at the rear of the property. Peter and Helen are very welcoming hosts.
I am sure that we will return next year

Thank you Mike and Jean, very good of you to write such a positive review. We do try our hardest to ensure you have a good time, and experience something special. You mention that we service the rooms every morning, so that when you return after your days adventures, its refreshed and set up as you found it on arrival. That's part of our quality and service commitment to our guests that we know is fully appreciated. Thanks for pointing it out.
We look forward to serving you again, hopefully sooner rather than later.
Take care, see you soon.
