“Pleasant & CLEAN to the max!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2013

We were stranded with the heavy snowfall & chanced upon this lovely B&B! Owners Rhona & Colin Brown are beautiful hosts, they made our 1 night stay very memorable. Room was spick & span, even the quilt covers, bedsheets & towels smell lovely! A definite KUDOS stay!

Easiest review I have ever had to write, great great b and b. Spotless, well presented and everything as it should be. Add two very pleasant hosts and fantastic breakfasts and you have a winner and then......such a bargain. Brilliant for the money but just brilliant really, do go and enjoy.

Stayed just before Christmas with my daughter and grand-daughter. The room was large, very clean and had all and more that we could want, even a small selection box for Ellie. Breakfast was really lovely with lots of choice, very well cooked and plentyful. Would not hesitate to reccommend this Guest House to all and will definately be back when we go to Ireland again.

Harbour Lights GH in Stranraer is located on the main harbour road and is only about a ten minute walk (by Americans) from the centre of town. Rooms are comfortable and ours had a view of the harbor. Even with its main road location the night noise was never a problem during our two night stay. Rhona and Colin are excellent hosts who serve a very nice breakfast. Harbour Lights is a good stay for those visiting this corner of Scotland.

Stayed at Harbour Lights for 3 nights with my husband and can't praise this b and b enough! Hosts were very pleasant and helpful making our stay a very comfortable and relaxing experience.
Double room and en-suite (with large shower) were spotlessly clean - definItely a contender for cleanest b and b in the UK.. Breakfast was delicious - plenty of choice and perfectly cooked. Can't fault this accommodation - everything has been carefully considered and provided.

Excellent guest house run by a very friendly and helpful family. Spotlessly clean, very warm with comfortable beds plus a very good breakfast with a fresh fruit salad - it couldn't be any better. There's even a very good Chinese restaurant round the corner for your evening meal.

We had planned to head up to Stranraer to hop the ferry to visit family in Ireland for a day trip. Harbour Lights was suggested by another guest house that was full for the days (17&18 Sept 2012). Despite the last minute booking (same day as arrival) we arrived on the Monday evening at 7:30pm and were warmly received, assisted with our bags and brought up to a very nicely appointed and comfortable room. As we were catching the first ferry crossing early the next morning we would not be present for breakfast, we figured we would get some food on the ferry, but our hosts kindly prepared a tray of fruit, cereal, yogurt and such so that we would have something before we left the next morning.

Upon returning from Ireland the next evening we were again greeted by our hosts who enquired on our trip and if we needed anything. Hardly, considering the spaciosu room on the 2nd floor we had with large bathroom, inroom coffee/tea and cookies.

The next morning we were leaving but were able to enjoy an excellent breakfast (I chose the full scottish, my girlfriend had something lighter). Everything was very nice (food was great) and we both agreed as we drove out of Stranraer that we would happily stay at Harbour Lights again the next time we do a trip to Ireland or even if we are just visiting the area.

Thank you to Rhona and Colin for a very comfortable stay. We wish them continued success.
