Good value hotel on the hill looking over Portpatrick. Comfortable room, lovely breakfast and if you are lucky you will meet the two cutest dogs I have seen in a long time, a Cockapoo and a Jackapoo that belong to the owners - I was smitten.

We will be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed a 2-night stay this week and was very happy with the accommodation. It was excellent value for money; breakfasts were hearty and the atmosphere at the Dunskey was very relaxing. Although a very light sleeper, I wasn't disturbed at all.The Coles were cheerful hosts and, for a non-driver, the location was very handy for the bus service. It was also a very good base for exploring the North Rhins. I would very much like to go back next year, perhaps around Easter.

What a lovely relaxing time, except for some rowdy golfers one night who were very drunk and very noisy, waking me up 4 times! Was hosted well and a fantastic breakfast was on offer. 5 mins walk (up/downhill) to village. Would stay here again.

We have just got back from a two night stay in the Dunskey and what a lovely little place it was. We had room 10 on the very top floor with amazing views over the port.
The room was very spacious with en suit bathroom. Tea and Coffee making facilities in the room and a very comfy bed!
Breakfast's were lovely, well cooked and presented with a happy smiling face!
a lovely place which i know we will return to in the future!

Was pleased to get in here as Portpatrick was busy, and indeed there was a great welcome from the charming and he;lpful host. The atmosphere is good, and the lived-in quality of the decor - especially the doors and doorframes gave the feel of a slightly chaotic but comfortable home. It was good to have a single room that felt like a proper single witrh ensuite. Not very well soundproofed however. Bathroom of a good size, and shower curtain always skillfully folded on arrival back at teatime. But soap of some kind would be handy! And whilst everything appeared clean, oh dear when the toilet brush was lifted out of its holder it was dripping with a murky brown liquid in which it had been sitting! Breakast was tasty, but got the impression not enough people work here for numbers of rooms, the charming obliging host struggled to cope! Certainly nothing to advise against staying here, but a couple of question marks!
