“Great lunch”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

Lunch for 2 on a november day was the best meal we have had for ages; the set menu was £11.50 for 2 courses; good choices; whitebait fresh, seafood crepes great, vegetables just right and a choice of chips or boiled and a fabulous view, delightful service and a ridiculously low tab. couldn't manage a sweet. Well worth going off the set menu for seafood OR steaks based on previous experience but for a great lunch at a ridiculous price, must be world class.

“Seafood at it's best.”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

If you visit Portpatrick wether at lunchtime or evening then Campbell's is a must. Well furnished and with a view of the harbour it's a great place for a relaxing meal. A family run business with their own fishing boat, seafood doesn't get much fresher. Cooked to perfection and well presented. Definitely worth a visit and 5 Stars.

“A lovely restaurant with great food”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

If you're going to Portpatrick, I'd definitely recommend Campbell's. The surroundings are lovely with tasteful furnishings and amazing views. The menu is slightly old fashioned but full of great seafood properly prepared. The service is well meaning though a little haphazard and this is only in comparison to city fine dining standards. Whether it's a leisurely lunch or a romantic dinner, it's well worth going. Enjoy!

“Perfect end to a lovely day”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

After visiting the Mull of Galloway with its fabulous views, good cafe that gives cashback (ATMs are in short supply in this neck of the woods!) and well stocked shop, the lighthouse and the RSPB place, we drove across to Portpatrick, a photographer's paradise, where I had many "Kodak moments"! We then repaired to Campbell's, which had been recommended by friends in Whithorn. Staff were friendly, service discreet, atmosphere delightfully nostalgic - they were playing Nat King Cole - very much of my era. Food was superb: I had lobster caught that morning from the bay, the first I have had for 50 years - that was in St. Agnes, Cornwall, and just such a delicious treat as on that occasion. Sauvignon by the glass was excellent ( my partner was driving) and the whole evening rounded off a truly special day.
