“A Little Gem”
Reviewed January 12, 2013 via mobile

Brilliant little cafe. We've visited regularly and the food is amazing. I'm coeliac and they do gluten free sandwiches which is great as not many places do. Even better, they have gluten free home made cakes - so nice that you wouldn't even know they were gluten free (my husband also loves the victoria sponge). It's great that they go that extra mile. Soups are the best!

“Wow!!! Fantastic place to eat!!!”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

What a find, in Dalbeattie!!! We have been in before for coffees, but had lunch the other day and WOW!!! They had on offer a smoked chicken with apricot chutney panini, served with salad and coleslaw.....left the tastebuds wanting more!!! The soup of the day was chicken and rice and it was also so delicious!!! They offer Tapas evenings, worth checking out as the lunch was something very special so I can only imagine those evenings will be just as good!!! Keep your eye on this place, the food is fabulous and the staff are all so very friendly and polite. They will go out of their way to make your meal special, no matter what it is, that is a plus in today's society of "if it's not on the menu we don't do it"....this place does!!! A great place to go for sure, will be going back time and again.

“The Granite Kitchen; A Gastronomical Delight!”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

Following a recent stop over in the charming little town of Dalbeattie, it was by great fortune that the Granite Kitchen were having a themed food evening. The Tapa's selections were quite possibly some of the finest I have ever had! All the produce was locally sourced including the food, beers, ciders and even a delightful Scottish gin! The service and food presentation made the evening nothing short of a delight and I shall most certainly return. Before departure I reuturned for a breakfast in the Granite Kitchen which operates a more Cafe orientated menu during the day, but as with the night before, quality and value abounds, well done and many thanks!!

“Great Find”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

What a little gem. Right in the middle of Dalbeatie, Dumfries and Galloway. Great Food and all freshly prepared. I had home-made Tomato Soup and a cheese and Pickle sandwich. Greta value for money and a superb range of home made cakes and other delicious treats. Others had Toasted pannini and a wrap and salad.
Well recommended by me. Will return next time I am in Dalbeatie.
