“Not as bad as we expected”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2011

This hotel was booked by friends and when I checked the reviews I was dreading going even though it was only for 1 night. Arrived to a very warm welcome, room wasnt quite ready but that was not a big problem. We were given use of the room because we had to get changed to go out, Room was not as bad as I had expected, only thing was there was no wardrobe so had we been staying longer, not quite sure where we would have put clothes. We had a meal before going out and it was really good. I think the hotel has just been taken over by new management, because they could not take our bank cards to pay for our room, had to be cash. By the time we came back in our room had been made up, bedding was clean and bed was quite comfy, didnt hear any noises through the night. You can chose what time you have breakfast and it was good too. The hotel is very dated and could do with an upgrade but we had a comfortable stay for the one night that we were there. Staff were friendly and helpful

On behalf of LT Pub Management and as General Manager I would like to thank you for you kind remarks on your stay and very much hope to welcome you again in the near future.

When you stayed with us we had only just taken over the operating of the Bridge Inn Tillicoultry on the Tuesday the 20th of September 2011 and it became very clear we had a lot of work to embark on before your stay. We have now started on a program of refurbishment of all public area's starting with the rooms, which as you have said in need of updating,

Kind Regards
David Rutherford
