Description: Zip code: FK14 7DE Tel: 01259 742 515 This restaurant and tavern is in Dollar (Scotland) in the UK near the Ochil Hills in Central Scotland. Their food is amazing; the best we ate during our entire UK trip (and we all over the place). Their sticky toffee pudding is the best I have ever eaten and boasts a texture that is out of this world. The tavern setting is upscale, but intimate. Not to be missed.

“Very nice Food and Ale”
Reviewed June 25, 2012

We stop by here in Febuary 2012 for a bar meal what a good meal we had.

The food was well prepared and presented. The quality was excellent and the range of real ales was excellent. Mo of the Valley says it all on the place.

All I can say if in area do stop by, as you will not be disappointed, it is so far ahead of many other eateries.

“Great food and friendly staff & they cater for gluten free”
Reviewed September 23, 2011

First time we'd eaten here in a long time and were very pleasantly surprised. The owner said he'd a new chef (6 months) and he'd certainly employed a good one. All the food tasted good, was attractively presented and delivered with a smile. Reasonable prices as well. For starters the fish soup is recommended as is the "sharing plate" which is a small portion of 4 or 5 starters. In addition to the menu items there were a couple of specials including pork belly which was delicious. Some of the menu items come in two sizes (small/large) which is a nice touch for those that don't like their plate too full. Helps with the budget as well.

The interior decor was well done - more like a tasteful Edinburgh establishment than a rural inn.

One other point worth noting - one of the party had a gluten allergy and the staff and chef took care of that with no problems - they obviously knew what they were doing - cooking from scratch and knowing the ingredients. No hesitation in recommending and we'd certainly go back next time we're in the area.

“Food was lovely but I felt rushed to finish my meal”
Reviewed September 22, 2011

This was the 2nd time I have eaten at the Kings Seat. The food was lovely and the portions sizes are good. We booked in advacne as it was a Saturday night and we knew it would be busy. I am not sure if there had been problems with overbooking but I felt that they wanted us to rush our meals and leave so other people could have our table. The waiting staff were doing great but the owner seemed to get them in a flap and was rushing them to take orders and bring people their drinks and meals.

Went for a belated anniversary meal with my wife. Upon arrival staff very attentive and helpful as they were throughout the evening. Food was outstanding as was the service and very reasonably priced. Great atmosphere and very welcoming. Definitely recommend it and will return soon.
