Excellent stay. Family run, warm and friendly atmos' Bar staff accommodating nothing too much bother. Food second to none and the locals always prepared to chat about the hills, the fishing and any other information. The owners, although busy people, gave their time to ensure I had a comfortable stay.

Room Tip: If the rooms are anything like the one I had then they will be good.

Stop here for an unplanned journey break - did my job of getting my head down but really is just a commercial hotel and was full of workmen. Menu looked ok but food was unexciting. Had a long wait for breakfast - ordered egg bacon and sausage but they delivered the full hear attack!

On the plus side it was really cheep at £30 B&B and I got a comfortable nights sleep.

Hadn't been here in over 10 years since last walking the West highland way. Pub has a great atmosphere as remembered. The food was really well done, good pub food menu, huge portions. Had the ribeye steak cooked rare which was done really well and all the accompaniments were delicious. Staff really helpful and friendly. Had an ensuite room, plenty of hot water for the bath. It's not fancy, and a wee bit dated, basic but clean and comfy. If you're walking the WHW it's a welcome stop over.

A value overnighter.

Room Tip: Ask for an ensuite with bath if you're walking! Perfect for WHW

It was a spontaneous choice to head for the highlands, this being the way of the best of times, for Hogmanay; and it proved to be the happiest ever welcoming in of a new year.
With a terrific trio for musical entertainment, paying their woolly socks off, and the Inn filled with good company, every moment was to be savoured.
This Inn has a word-of-mouth reputation for good value-and it's well deserved.

Doing West Highland Way in winter, meant setting off before sunrise to cover planned distance.
We stayed at the Inn for the New Year's Eve, and what a pleasant experience it was! Excellent food, life band, free whisky on the house at midnight, local crowd...

Most of all, we were grateful for thoughtfulness and helpfulness of staff - in particular Stephen's. As we were setting off early in the morning on the 1 Jan, we could not wait for our breakfasts to be served from 8am (especially being the New Year's morning!) So, not expecting positive answer, I enquired whether it would be possible to throw in some bread or something into a bag, so that we can take it instead of our inclusive breakfasts. In 15 minutes, despite it being New Year's Eve busy time, our 2 packed breakfasts arrived!

Will definitely stay there again.

I would just like to say the owners andy and Jennifer are doing a top class job of renovating an old hotel. As a group of work mates the staff and the locals made us feel at home . I would recommend this hotel to anyone whether it be walking the west highland way or just passing through the area to pop in and say hello. A special thanks to the bar staff who made us feel so welcome . We will return
Cheers
