My partner and I went on a five day holiday to the Royal Hotel through Highland Heritage, and had a brilliant time. We had no worries about our luggage because once it was put on the feeder coach at Liverpool we didn't see them again until we got to our room in the hotel, even when we crossed over from the feeder coach to the Highland Heritage coach. The same thing happened on the way back, where the luggage was picked up from the room and put on the coaches. The manager and staff at the hotel were really pleasant and nothing was too much for them. The meals were really tasty and filling (three courses both at breakfast and dinner), which was a real surprise to me given the great value of the holiday package. Our room was lovely with bathrobes, fruit, tea coffee facilities, a hairdryer and even a sewing kit included. The coach tours were fantastic with a commentary from the coach drivers who told us all about the clans of the Highlands. Even the rain didn't dampen everyone's spirits. The bar was very reasonable. The entertainment was hit and miss, from really good to so so, however there is another Heritage hotel near by so you could go and check out the entertainment there.
The holiday is a bit regimentated, however it has to be like this so the coaches can leave on time for people to get the most of their time on the tours. If you go with the flow you should have no problem.
I would gladly recommend this hotel and Highland Heritage tours to anyone.
