“Great twixmas Break”
Reviewed January 2, 2012

A delightful four day stay between the holiday periods
I must endorse earlier reviewers comments wholeheartedly, we loved it.
Picked up from Cannock staffs by a Stills coach and driven
to Gretna Green for onward journey by Highland Heritage coach.
On arrival at Tyndrum we were welcolmed by the Manager and staff at the door.
The room and food was great,we had two one day trips (one included and the second one optional)
The only bad thing was the weather( constant rain) but you carn;t blame H H for that) no snow!
On arrival back home a very nice gesture was a courtesy call from them to ensure a safe homecoming, well done H H

Tour R3 29th Nov to 3rd Dec.With two friends we could not fault the hotel, food, entertainment and our driver Patrick. We had a great time and can assure you we will be going again next year and try another hotel. Anyone who did not enjoy their stay must be a bit soft
We left just before the snow started but would have liked to see the scene with a covering.

We have just returned from an eight day tour of Scotland with Highland Heritage having been based at the Royal Hotel, Tyndrum. The whole operation was skillfully and efficiently managed. The restaurant service was very slick and the staff helpful and friendly. Our coach driver was an extremely good driver who had a wide knowledge of the areas of Scotland we toured and was most informative. The food was always hot, the quantity and variety was also more than adequate and satisfactory. All in all, for a Scottish Tourist Board 3 star Hotel the holiday was excellent value for money.

Room Tip: We chose a superior room, to get a shower, and didn't see the other rooms.

This hotel is given 3* by the Scottish tourist board and we found it deserved more. We took advantage of a weeks holiday with Highland Heritage which was real value for money, being picked up locally and transported to the Royal hotel in Tyndrum. The first thing you become aware of is the sanitiser hand lotion which you are requested to apply when you get on the coach and into the hotel. It is also to be applied when entering the dining room. If you don't use the containers fixed in the foyer, the hotel staff are there at the entrance to the dining room. The room we had was a twin with en-suite bath and shower,Toilet and wash handbasin. there was a hairdryer supplied and tea/coffee making facility in the room. There was unlimited hot water and clean towels every day. I don't think you will find harder working staff and we found them friendly and helpful The service was second to none.
All the food is fresh not frozen and served at the table. There are choices to be made at meal times but remember this is a 3* hotel so don't expect Cordon Bleu food, it is well cooked and there is ample.
This hotel is perfectly placed to visit Loch Lomond, The Trossachs National Park,Glen Coe, Fort William and Ben Nevis. While we were there B and B was advertised as £40 per night.

My friend and I have just returned from a lovely holiday with Highland Heritage. Staying at The Royal, which is a comfortable and friendly hotel.
The Staff were so nice and couldn't do enough for us.
Excursions were very good value and our driver was extremely knowledgeable about the local area.
Dining at The Royal is a joy. Excellent food with a choice of menu and served quickly.
Our room was comfortable with a view overlooking the gardens.
All in all a great holiday and I would certainly travel with Highland Heritage again in the future.
