felt this pub was lacking in oportunities. It could have been a great wee pub but menu and decor were boring.

This place may well be suitable for the many bikers who stop at this village but not for two ladies looking for something to eat.
Toilets - not very pleasant
Menu - very basic. Sandwiches suitable for hard-working labourer and lettuce past its best.

Didn't eat here this time round, but as far it goes for a pub, its pretty good. For me a good pub has: a pool table, darts, juke box, plenty of seating and serves Tennents 80. This had all of this.

Having looked the menu on the website we got a taxi from Crianlarich to eat at Paddy's for a friends birthday.

On arrival we found a table for 6 and got menus. They bore no resemblance to the website menu and we were told that the place had just been taken over by new owners who had replaced it with a new more limited menu.

In line with the theme we found everywhere in the West Highlands the starters were let down by the main courses. Cheesy nachos, pate etc. were all of a good standard and plentiful. Sirloin steaks were very thin for a supposed 8 ozs steak and the curry and chilly were a little on the meagre side to say the least.

There was only one girl serving all the tables and bar as well as clearing everything away. However, she was very efficient and seemed to manage all 3 duties with consummate ease.

2 guys arrived by train and came in at 9 pm (advertised last food order time) only to be told the kitchen was shut. As this is the only place to eat in Tyndrum in the evening I found this to be a sad state of affairs and felt sorry for the guys who went to bed hungry after a long train journey.

Food and drink prices were very reasonable for this part of the world and the atmosphere was quite good for an evening out for a few drinks although the title of "Paddy's Rock 'n' Roll Diner" was somewhat misleading. Just a juke box of contemporary music was on offer.

Food was unmemorable as I can't recall what I ate, but we had good conversation with other patrons that made for a pleasant evening.
