Description: Our cafe prides itself in its fresh homemade cakes and scones with specialty coffees and teas. We are open all year except January. We sell homemade bloomer bread sandwiches and fresh homemade soups. In the summer months we double the choice of cakes and food ranging from fish and chips all the way to venison. We have our own gift shop selling some unusual gifts. We provide take away coffee or meals to eat by the beach on the banks of Loch Lomond. Our toilets are easily accessible and wheelchair friendly and available to patrons only. We are dog friendly and even have our own resident dog named Toby.

Came in for breakfast thismorning i asked for the lomond breakfastand to have no beans...so they brought it out and i had noticed there had been beans put on!! Waiter then said i forgot to put it on the check so chef scrapped them off and tried to hide it under the egg!! we also got french toast which wasnt very nice! The level off service was bad as there was four members on and only myself and partner and two others in! I noticed the waiter to be slouched over a counter...am sure if i had done this while working id have my p45! Only thing that was good was the music.I wont be back, as its a real shame as i do enjoy coming to luss.

Went into the information centre for a quick bit to eat whilst wainting for the bus back to Balloch, what really good wholesome food & very reasonably priced I can whole heartedly recommend the Haggis, neaps & tatties a real feast, not to spicy but just right. for somewhere like there they had a good menu. We will certainly be going back to them for food the next time we are up on the Loch.

Unfortunately a lot of catering in Scotland tends to be on the fatty, salty side prepared from frozen ingredients but Purdies@ Luss is a superb exception. There are two ends to the car park at Luss and they couldn't be more different. Avoid the 'coach park' southern end and head for the visitor centre at the north end. We wouldn't normally consider a visitor centre to eat at but had heard good things about Purdies@ Luss and weren't disappointed. The staff were excellent, the food cooked from fresh ingredients exceptional and the price reasonable. The menu isn't extensive but is all the better for that with a really good children's menu. Check though in advance as in the winter season they don't serve the full menu every day. One tip to the owners- how about an all day breakfast with a discount before say 11am?

As a general rule I have low expectations when eating at a Visitors Centre. Purdies @ Luss, however, was an excellent exception to the usual rule. Service was friendly, food came quickly and tasted delicious. I had a fantastic Venison Burger, my gf a Cheese Sandwich.

The only criticism I can offer is that the 'homemade' chips were most definitely not homemade.

Other than that, a lovely, reasonably priced place.
