Description: Our cafe prides itself in its fresh homemade cakes and scones with specialty coffees and teas. We are open all year except January. We sell homemade bloomer bread sandwiches and fresh homemade soups. In the summer months we double the choice of cakes and food ranging from fish and chips all the way to venison. We have our own gift shop selling some unusual gifts. We provide take away coffee or meals to eat by the beach on the banks of Loch Lomond. Our toilets are easily accessible and wheelchair friendly and available to patrons only. We are dog friendly and even have our own resident dog named Toby.

“An enexpected find in lovely Luss!”
Reviewed July 2, 2012 via mobile

Visited here after seeing it on TA, & agree with other reviews, Purdies @ the visitor centre is a really good find. Walking in it doesn't look like much, just a small canteen style place. But food is fresh and delicious and service was also good. Prices very reasonable -£7.50 for fish & chips or beef pie- and everything was homemade and very tasty. Unfortunately there no cakes when we were there, just ice cream and a cheesecake. Luss is lovely but I'd suggest eating here if you want a tasty good quality meal, I'd visit again without hesitation.

“Nice staff but food a letdown”
Reviewed June 10, 2012

Luss is a lovely little village on Loch Lomond. We had a couple of hours to kill before getting into our cottage so we parked here and went for coffee at the visitor centre. The staff were very friendly and apologised that they were only just clearing up after a coach party. We had coffee and a scone as it was too early for lunch. The coffee was weak and gritty and there were no knives because they were all in the dishwashwer after the coach party ( really - you can't manage more cutlery ?) . . We had a walk round and decided to give it a go for lunch. We ordered soup with a cheese and herb scone. The soup was watery and tasteless and the scone was hard and stale. The sign on the wall says they don't bake from packets and that it is all made fresgh but it certainly hadn't been that day. I felt sorry for a party of elderly French tourists who struggled to order from the menu as a lot was not available and what they ended up with was the worst kind of fried stodge. The staff were very young and friendly but someone needs to manage this place better. I couldn't help notice that our waitress's apron was really dirty which is not a good sign.
