Had been for lunch a couple of years ago and it was very good. It has been refurbished and looks good but the food was awfull. it cost £9.95 for 1 course. We had roast beef. The meat looked like it was from a packet, yorkshires were cold and there were no roast potatoes.
When we complained about the cold yorkshires we were brought 2 more that had obviously been in a microwave and had gone soft. Poor value for the cost. Will not go there again.

This place is expensive. Fish and Chips for two and a couple of soft drinks £27.00, burger and chips around the same. You do get massive portions of both though so you wont be let down on that score. The burger was char grilled and chunky. The bar has a nice relaxed vibe and the decor is cool and laid back with comfy brown leather chairs. The only thing other than the hit your wallet takes is the lack of variety. What they do they do well but I would recommend they add more sandwiches or baked potatoes to their menu for those that aren't too hungry or want something cold to munch in the afternoon. Apparently, they have folk music on on a weekend but I was too skint to hang around which is a shame because this sounded good to me. Overall, would recommend for the fish and chips or a burger.

We had a fun, relaxed evening here. We had been eager to indulge in lots of fish and chips while in Scotland, and this was hands-down the best of our trip.
