“The best equipped self catering accommodation that we have ever booked.”
Reviewed January 3, 2017 for a stay in December 2016

We chose Feaugh Cottage for a family get together over Christmas 2016 and New Year. It easily accommodated six adults and two young children (2 and 4 years old) for part of our stay. We cooked a full Christmas dinner and all the pans, crockery, cutlery etc. that we needed were supplied.

We have never come across a better equipped holiday rental.

From previous experiences of Scottish holiday rentals, we consider ourselves experts on grotty ‘cast off’ furniture, miscellaneous ‘jumble sale’ saucepans, crockery and cutlery; sticky carpets, crumbling plasterwork, mildew and wet rot.
How refreshing then to rent Feaugh Cottage which was spotlessly clean, immaculately decorated, had good quality and comfortable furniture and had everything we needed. We even had fresh bed linen and clean towels delivered after six days.

Clearly the owners had equipped it as their home to stay in and not just a holiday rental.

The views across Loch Goil from the large picture windows were spectacular even in the depths of Winter and despite Storm Barbara wreaking havoc we were warm and cosy as we watched the storm bend the trees and sweep across the loch, and the lightening flashes in the sky.

The house is dog friendly with a well fenced garden; which we shared with red squirrels, pheasants, a roe deer and even a sparrow hawk (attracted by the tits, robin and dunnocks on the bird table.)

Negatives? Well the single track road from the ‘Rest and be Thankful’ down to the Loch is challenging, but the road helps to keep it secluded. The main bathroom only has a hand held shower head mounted on the bath, which called for a degree of ingenuity/resourcefulness when taking a shower. However, the en suite bathroom was a new wet room, with underfloor heating.

“GREAT COTTAGE - VERY WELCOMING AND COMFORTABLE !!”
Reviewed July 23, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

This cottage was very welcoming and comfortable, the views from the location were outstanding - everything you needed was available in the cottage - and the location was good for exploring the area surrounding it - the good facilities at Lochgoilhead restauarnts which were good and inexpensive - also the shopping facilities at the nearby Caravan Park for morning newspapers/milk/rolls, etc. and touring nearby were Arrochar, Tarbet, Luss, also Helensburgh and Dunoon an excellent location with a nice well matured garden to sit and relax in as well.

“Perfect house, stunning location!”
Reviewed August 24, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We loved our stay at this bungalow. It was well equiped with everything you may need during your stay. The kitchen was just right and thankfully had a dishwasher. With Netfix and excellent WiFi meant our children were over the moon. Our WiFi is slower at home! We really appreciated the loan of the binoculars to watch the wildlife. The location is absoutely stunning over looking Loch Goil. I think Loch Goil is one of the most beauitful Lochs I have seen. Nothing was better than to open your curtains in the morning & look out over the Loch to see the birds flying over and the mist on the top of the mountains. There is a bench at the top of the garden that looks out over the top of the house roof and looks over at the Loch (if you can cope with the pesky midges!) The house was a perfect location for us for sight seeing. If you visit the area you must visit Puck's Glen and hire a boat on the Loch. The boat hire cabin is a 5 min walk down the road and is a reasonable price. Thanks for a great stay. We would return tomorrow if we could!

This was a return visit and Feaugh Cottage came up trumps once again. Clean and comfortable, everything we needed; tin of shortbread waiting on arrival, coal/logs for the fire and great weather. The wildlife was abundant and provided doorstep entertainment with a variety of birds, red squirrels and pine martin.
We needed a chill-out holiday and this delivered on all counts.
