“a must see, all round spectacular stay”
Reviewed July 4, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

House was clean and well located. Very large bedrooms and comfortable beds. Children could visit a safe, fun playpark and walks were well signposted from here. The views have to be seen to be fully appreciated but really do inspire the well quoted view that Scotland is a beautiful place visit. Drimsynie holiday village was easily reachable and the shop saved the day..........who knew it'd be sun tan lotion weather?
All local activity leaflets are in the footstool (didn't find that out till day 2) but very easy to stay in the village or equally accessible to Inverary/Lochgilphead/Loch Lomond. Kids didn't want to leave, will def be back

“Nice place, but could be improved”
Reviewed May 31, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

It's quite a large house and Lochgoilhead is a nice village. The earlier dealing with the place's agent was good and the owner seemed like a nice person. However, we did feel that it could easily become much better. For example, we ran out of toilet paper and found no more rolls anywhere. Also, we thought it was strange to have to bring towels with us from London, and would have appreciated if we were offered them. There was no bath soap, which we found a bit disappointing. There's a DVD player, but no films at all, which was too bad. The furniture was not to our taste, but I suppose this is just our opinion. Worse of all, the bed in the parent's room was not very comfortable so my husband slept quite badly in the nights.
On the bright side - it's a large house and we were quite comfortable there. It was very clean and the heating worked well. No lake views but beautiful mountain views and a lovely little village. The owners left us milk and cookies upon our arrival which was very nice of them.

Management Response
Jun 2, 2015
Always appreciated when a guest takes the time to post a review. Can I point out that during the booking process you have the option to order a towel pack. You could also have contacted us if towels were an issue. At £90 per night sleeping 6 people and including wi-fi and a welcome pack, Steele View is incredible value for money. It is not usual in self cater properties in Scotland to provide soap and toiletries.

“A hidden gem”
Reviewed August 3, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Fantastic property nestled in a quiet village full of friendly locals. Was a bit interesting only having one bathroom but did not spoil our stay one iota. Ideal location for a quiet holiday or to use as a base to explore Scotland. Well run and managed.

“What a lovely time!”
Reviewed July 24, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

A group of six of us spent four nights at Steeple View. The house itself is plenty big enough for that many people and comes stocked with all the essentials; plates, glasses, cutlery etc. The house has wifi, sky TV, dvd player to keep you occupied on rainy days and also a good sized garden.

The house is at the entry to Lochgoilhead 30 seconds walk from the Loch and surrounded with excellent views. It's a short walk to the local post office, or a little further round to the CostCutter.

Great location for hill walking or for activities on the loch itself.

Would completely recommend this holiday rental and are already considering a return visit!
