The lodge is very comfortable with great views and well equipped. We especially enjoyed eating breakfast out on the veranda with lots of bluetits and other birds visiting the bird feeder nearby. The area is beautiful with lots to do - the crannog centre, waterfalls, walking and cycling, live music in Killin and Aberfeldy etc.
We are just back from a long weekend in Firbush lodge and we will definitely be going back. The lodge is very comfortable and has everything you need. We were very lucky with the weather but the views would still be stunning on a wet and windy day! The location is amazing, some lovely woodland walks. The owners were more than helpful and quickly replied to any queries. Highly recommended.
We spent three nights at Firbush with friends, and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The lodge is lovely and offers all you could want to ensure your comfort. The views are gorgeous and the facilities at the restaurant meant we didn't have far to go to get a lovely meal.
A short drive into Killin and you have access to some lovely cafes and shops so no need to venture far. Would definitely visit again.
We have just returned from a really lovely week at this very comfortable lodge right beside Loch Tay. It is part of a bigger complex of lodges, cabins and camping facilities which is really well run and maintained with plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy on the doorstep. Firbush is perfectly situated with uninterrupted (and not overlooked) views of the loch and marina. It was so easy for us to put our canoe in the water and paddle out. The lodge is warm and cosy with stunning views onto the loch and with regular entertainment from the local birdlife and ducks! We loved using the covered veranda to relax and enjoy the weather with a drink. Janine has been extremely helpful answering our queries quickly and has been very friendly to deal with. This is clearly a well loved and appreciated place. We hope to visit again.
Fabulous spot on the edge of Loch Tay. The lodge was great, with lots of nice little touches to make us feel at home and with open views over the loch, what more could we ask for? A bistro/bar just a 100 yards from the lodge was an unexpected bonus. We're not water babies so the water sports on the loch were wasted on us but there were so many lovely places to visit nearby that we were spoiled for choice. The courtyard at kenmore and taymouth castle and golf course well worth a visit. Hope to make a return visit to Firbush later in the year.
