“Fabulous little cottage in great location”
Reviewed April 19, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

A little gem of a cottage situated right next to the beautiful Falls of Dochart in the lovely village of Killin. I visited Barn Cottage over the Easter holidays with my kids and we all loved it. The cosy cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped and we felt at home straight away. We loved the living area on the first floor which was cosy and yet light and airy.
The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding countryside- an easy drive from scenic loch Tay and kenmore and from Callander.
We had a fabulous time and will definitely be back.

“Idyllic Resting Place”
Reviewed September 25, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

This rental cottage was rented through Holiday Lettings, but the individual attention from the owner was perfect. This cottage is in a perfect location for anybody who likes walking or cycling, the countryside is absolutly stunning. We were not into any of the above but the quietness of the cottage and the peacefulness of the surroundings was ideal for us.
The Falls of Dochart are at the end of the drive way and are a spectacular attraction. Killin village has all you would need except for a petrol station! There are several eating places ranging from the chip van that parks in the community centre car park to the 3 star Killin Hotel and lots of places in between. The eating place we went to was the Smiddy which was only 5 minutes walk from the cottage. The drives around the area are phenomenal with mountain views and the beautiful Loch Tay, where can be found the Crannog a reconstruction of a prehistoric Scottish habitat, excellent for visiting with a good restaurant and museum and gift shop.If all you want to do is chill out in a superb, excellantly equipped, light and airy home from home this is it. Karen, the owner, will tell you ghat the cottage is upside down, beds on the ground floor and living area up stairs giving you the best of the views and the stream and waterfall that runs through the garden. Lots of birds and red squirrels regularly visit the g7arden and the babbling brook makes for very relaxing life style. All in all an excellent, superb, idyllic, place to call home.

“great location clean and central for touring highlands”
Reviewed July 14, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Barn cottage had lots of character , it was very clean and extremely well equipped , a good centre for our purposes. The only downside was the tiny bathroom and shower and the bed in one of the bedrooms was much too big for the room and made it difficuilt to move around without banging into the edges ofthe bed. Otherwise a great location .
