Stayed for one night dinner bed and breakfast. Our room was on the top floor and was small and the the furniture dated but it was clean and had everything we needed for a nights stay. I think if we were staying longer or travelling through with luggage we would have struggled with the tightness of the room as there wasn't a wardrobe and no obvious place to put luggage, with it being on the top floor the ceilings were sloped which added to the small feel of the room, but for one night it was fine.
The setting is lovely, right by the river and we were lucky to have a lovely day in September so were able to spend time outside in the grounds.
Reception, bar and restaurant staff were friendly. There was a good selection of food to choose from at dinner and in the morning at breakfast.
Would recommend and would return if we were in the area again.More
